Glad we chose the right VC last year at seed @ashugarg @JayaGup10
What a journey over last 12 months! Thank you for the conviction in our overlay approach when the rest of the VC market was drinking the AI-native ERP kool-aid Conviction >> consensus indeed

Stoked to lead $45M Series A for @HyphenateAI and partner with @ramkris, @ajkrish95, and the team! Finance doesn't need another dashboard. It needs someone to get the work done. Finance has an unusually high bar for accuracy, controls, and auditability. Most AI tools help finance teams work faster. Hyphenate takes on the work itself: cash reconciliation, invoicing, collections, subledgers, and the close, layered on top of the ERP and banks a company already runs. No rip and replace! It is showing up with great autonomy in production. HiBid cut its close from three weeks to one day. Groupon and Synthesia are rolling it out across finance. And 40% of customers expand within their first year. Excited to help build the AI-era finance function with you, Ram and Ajay! Thank you for partnering with @nexusvp! Also, excited to join hands with friends at @FoundationCap (@ashugarg, @JayaGup10), @BCapitalGroup, @sathyanellore, @arashf! #AI #AIinFinance

Congrats to @ramkris and @ajkrish95 on raising a fat series A and closing multiple F500 companies. Finance will drive one of the next biggest waves of inference. The work is continuous, the judgment is company-specific, and every close creates feedback. My bet is that Maximor leads the shift to post-trained open-weight models powering persistent finance agents for every CFO and CAO in the world! @ashugarg and I were lucky to partner with the company about a year ago. Thanks for letting us come along for the ride.

Asking for a friend: if you sold your product to a startup that got acquired by the smallest subsidiary of a public company - does this still qualify for you to say you have public company customer? 🤣🤣 #iykyk

Thanks for featuring us @CFOBrew 🫡
Finance teams spend too much time holding disconnected systems together, chasing data, translating policies, and moving work forward manually. We partnered with @CFOBrew to explore how autonomous finance executes entire workflows across existing systems, giving teams more time for strategic judgment, with human oversight and an auditable record of every action. Thank you for the shoutout! @HyphenateAI
Your finance team probably uses a separate piece of software for every job, with people moving the numbers between them by hand. It is one reason many companies still take weeks to close their books. The link to the full story is in the comments.

Maximor is now Hyphenate. Same team, new name, bigger vision!
We set out to build a new category: autonomous finance. Now we have a name that fits where we’re going. Maximor is now Hyphenate. A hyphen connects and modifies. Hyphenate connects the systems you already use through a shared context that understands your policies. It modifies how finance runs: agents take on routine work, keep an audit trail, and bring exceptions to the right person. They learn from those decisions over time, giving finance teams less grunt work and more time for analysis and strategy. New name and look. Same company, team, and platform. Geez! This compiler framing for the application layer is spot on. Break the human objective down, buy the cheapest sufficient intelligence for each piece, put it back together. What I'd add to @JayaGup10’s piece: there are two judgments in that loop, not one. Judging how to route the work. And judging how to actually do it. The second one is domain judgment, and no model provider sells for our domain : finance. Example - Recognizing revenue on a contract isn't just applying ASC 606. It depends on business context: the side letter sales negotiated, that this customer always pushes for acceptance clauses, that implementation hasn't gone live yet. None of that is in the contract. It accrues in the team over years - which is why it's called tribal knowledge, and why G&A bloats: running finance means keeping around every person whose head an answer lives in. Our bet at @maximor_ai: that judgment isn't lost. It's reconstructable from the company's own record of past decisions. We rebuild it into a domain judgment layer, then package it with routing and escalation into an application layer that owns the end to end outcome. Mind you - an outcome a public company CFO personally signs their name to.

Phenomenal takes in here “But here's an interesting question - why has nobody truly been paying close attention to matching capabilities to the unlock? Where is this discourse happening? The root cause of all the shallowness in thinking is that the wrong category was crowned far too early: the AI-native ERP. That is fundamentally the wrong abstraction for what AI changes in finance.”

This is Maximor. Autonomous finance.
Hot take 🔥🔥: an enterprise context layer on top of existing items (semantic models, data, pipelines, emails, PDFs, metadata, etc.) that automatically improves with usage and, most importantly, is autonomous. If this works, it could be the next big thing in analytics.

Every CFO I talk to is quietly terrified of handing finance to AI and losing control.   But autonomous finance gives you more control, not less. @maximor_ai learns how your team already works, does the busywork, escalates what it's unsure of, and keeps every number traceable.   We made a film about it (and a support group).

Forbes reported @maximor_ai today: 35x revenue growth in 9 months, on seed alone. I get asked weekly if finance is the next big AI category after coding and legal. Yes, just later than the other two, but it’s here now. Finance was always going to be AI's last holdout, and rightly so. Who wants their finance person to be anything but a skeptic? Highest stakes, lowest tolerance for a wrong number. So when AI lands here, in production, something real has changed. Here's what changed: when the cost of producing a number goes to zero, you don't do less finance. You do the finance that was never possible before. Every entity closed daily. Every margin live. Every decision scored against what actually happened, not a stale export. This is what @maximor_ai is building, and we're calling it autonomous finance. The question stops being "can we build it" and becomes "where do we point it, and what did it return". Every finance person just got 100x more important. It's here, it's in production, 25+ customers including public companies. Proud to be driving this from the front!
