@buildonto passed every technical bar that got us into @ycombinator's top 10%.
it still failed the easiest one.
can a human actually use this.
for months we were obsessed with one side of the problem. clean Markdown for agents, deterministic parsing, AIO scores, zero hallucination. the thesis was right.
It got us into Anthropic's official directory, Google for Startups Immersion, YC's top 10% of 25,000 applications.
meanwhile the dashboard people logged into every day was functional at best.
the docs were written fast, not written well.
we were so deep in solving the agent side of the equation that we quietly neglected the humans who'd actually be the ones using Onto, day after day.
felt stupid the moment we noticed it.
we built a company on the idea that the web should look different depending on who's reading it. and somehow forgot that includes us too.
that changes in a few days.
first real launch. dashboard rebuilt from scratch. docs redesigned to actually make sense. launch videos across every platform this time.
YC has this idea that every great startup launches at least three times before anyone notices. the first time nobody's watching. the second time a few people are. the third time it sticks.
this is our real one.
