On behalf of UECCC, I was privileged to see the good work of Eco Stove. It is no longer a choice but a matter of extreme urgency to drive the energy transition from the use of wood and charcoal fuels to clean energy sources for cooking.

I visited the Eco Stove factory in Nswanjere -Muduuma and commended social entrepreneur Rose Twine for protecting the environment and employing local youth. Her stove combined 85% volcanic rock with 15% charcoal dust, and ran on a solar-powered forced air system.
