Last @ASNKidney post regarding mentorship and KidneySTARS program: full-circle moment at #KidneyWeek! Kidney STARS shaped my path into nephrology starting in 2015. This year, my mentor Dr. Nelson Leung served as a STARS faculty mentor, coincidentally my mentee Dr. Patrick Hofmann was selected as ASN Campbell Fellow assigned to his group. This was a tight group- saw them at TMA talk, MGCS poster tour, PGNMID talk. They definitely received the heme-renal experience, no biases from any of the mentors 😆 3 generations of mentorship connect through this program shows just how vital it is for training the next wave of nephrologists.
