Why would European countries ruin their own economies in order to fight to the last Ukrainian? - Prof Richard Wolff Prof Wolff believes that they want to cash in on the disintegration of Russia. ➡️ They also want to appear powerful; to restore their global image as colonisers. Pat Utomi was my client almost twenty years ago, and he paid me VERY handsomely, too. This photo of Professor Utomi and I was taken in 1999. I was twenty-four, going on twenty-five. He was forty-three and stepping into his role as Platinum Bank Chairman. Everything I am wearing in this photo was made in Nigeria from head to toe. Eight years after this photo was taken, he wrote and published a piece. From California, I corrected the grammatical, punctuation and lexical errors in the article and sent it to him along with my phone number. That same night, Mr Utomi called me in Alameda, California. He marvelled that I could correct his meticulously written opus, and thereafter, I became his consultant. One day, the late Chief Anthony Anenih said and did something that I felt was disparaging to Professor Utomi. I wrote a powerful, stinging response in Pat Utomi's name, and when he read it, he said to me, 'Chief Anenih has once been good to me, and no matter what he does against me, I will not be unfaithful to that goodness'. He instructed me to set aside what I had written down and said he would absorb the pain from Chief Anenih, just as he once absorbed the gain from him. Today, even if I disagree with Pat Utomi, I still live and learn from that principle he taught me. Yes, several people have brought up the 'Civil War' comment with me. I wish he had not said what he said. But 'Pat Utomi has once been good to me, and no matter what he does against me, I will not be unfaithful to that goodness'. I can say that Professor Pat Utomi is a good man, a patriot, and someone who has contributed to Nigeria's greatness. When His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, is re-elected for a second term, there will be peace in Nigeria, and patriots like Pat Utomi will come around as they see their dreams for a better Nigeria, which is already coming to fruition, become even more glaring. Thanks Your Excellency and my dearest brother. Much appreciated. God bless you and yours. 🙏❤️
Here's to wishing a happy 66th birthday to my friend and brother, His Excellency Ambassador Femi Fani-Kayode, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Republic of South Africa. To my brother from another mother, I wish the world knew you like I know you. A most loyal friend, who sticks closer than a brother and fights as Jonathan did for David for those he considers his allies. A man of inter generational greatness, which first reared its head with your great grandfather, the Reverend Emmanuel Adelabi Kayode, who attended and graduated with a Masters from Durham University in 1893, to your grandfather, Justice Victor Adedapo Kayode, who graduated from Cambridge with a law degree in 1922, to one of the greatest in the line, Chief Remilekun Fani-Kayode, who also graduated from Cambridge with a law degree in 1943 and from whom the baton passed to you, who graduated from Cambridge in 1984 with yet another law degree. It is hard, and maybe impossible, to find another family that has consistently contributed to the well of Nigeria's greatness and the brilliance of her star like the Kayodes. Today, I join many grateful Nigerians in saying not just happy birthday, but a well-deserved thank you to this two-time Minister, who stood up to Gaddafi and stood up for democracy. From the bottom of my heart, I join my family in wishing you the best birthday ever. Many happy returns, and may God bless your home. Bemigho Reno Omokri

My dearest brother @fkeyamo, Permit me to share the facts with you on this matter for posterity's sake. In fairness to President Obasanjo the Nigeria Airways "mess", as you have decribed it, was established before he came back to power in 1999. And it was indeed a mess but it was not of Obasanjo's making! He met it there after he was sworn in and what he found broke his heart. I, as Minister of Aviation from 2006 after being redeployed from being Minister of Culture and Tourism, can confirm that. The facts are as follows. When Obasanjo left power as Military Head of State in 1979 Nigeria Airways had a total of 32 functional planes, excellent pilots and crew members, a first class management team and an accountable Board of Directors. Nigeria Airways, at that time, was indeed the pride of the nation. By the time Obasanjo came back to power in 1999, 20 years later, there was only one plane left and it was not functional. The rest had vanished together with virtually all of the company's assets. Everything in the company had gone to the dogs. Worse still it was plagued with debts. Through those 20 years all forms of corruption were committed by the various management teams and Board of Directors of the company and it was literally gutted. The company was liquidated primarily due to chronic insolvency, operational collapse and mismanagement in its operations which took place between 1979 and 1999. The formal winding-up process culminated in 2004. The decision followed years of decline and failed rescue attempts, including privatisation advice from the International Finance Corporation which later withdrew. The 2004 liquidation was the endpoint of long-term structural failure driven by mismanagement, debt and operational collapse with the Obasanjo Government, rightly in my view, deciding against further public bailouts. This is why Obasanjo liquidated it in 2004 and I believe that he had no choice. There was nothing left to save even though it was a painful decision given the fact that he was one of those that had done so much for that company when he was Military Head of State. After liquidating the company the only issue left was pensions. After a commitee that was Chaired by Alhaji Yayale Ahmed, the then then Head of Service, recommended that money should be released and paid to the pensioners, as Minister of Aviation in 2006, I presented a memo to the Federal Executive Council for that purpose and argued strongly that this was the right thing to do. Sadly the memo was not approved because there were elements in the cabinet that were so angry with the the former Boards and management teams of the defunct Nigerian Airways that they opposed my memo vehemently. They believed that none of those that were part of Nigeria Airways deserved a pension because, as far as they were concerned, they ALL contributed to the destruction of what was once a great source of pride to our nation. I did not share that view but sadly I and those that supported me were in a minority and we lost the debate. The matter was deferred and taken up again by the Yar'Adua administration when they came to power two years later. They paid most of the pensioners which was the right thing to do. The Buhari administration followed suit and also paid. It is gratifying that under your leadership the remainder of the pensions have been paid. I only wish we had done that when we were in office. The pensioners suffered immensely over the years. I have always maintained that paying them was the right thing to do. As for His Excellency Waziri @atiku I know what side of the divide he was during that debate in council but I will not share that publicly because whatever decision was finally taken was a collective one. We bore and still bear the consequences of that decision together as a Government. I commend you as Minister of Aviation for finally settling the pensions that were still due. (FFK)
Your Excellency, Atiku Abubakar @atiku, this is hypocrisy at its peak! Let me just talk only about the sector that I head, Aviation. In September, 2004, when you were Vice-President, your Government woke up one morning and liquidated Nigeria Airways, throwing thousands of Nigerian out of jobs and into sorrow and pain. To add salt into their wounds, you refused to pay them their pensions and gratuities, running into billions of Naira. Twenty-two years later, after many of them have died out of frustration, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialABAT is now clearing the mess you left behind. Over a month ago, Mr. President approved and released the total sum N36 billion to bring succour to these families. They have started receiving alerts and praying for Mr. President. In fact, the President was given an Award for this by the workers’ union a few weeks ago. Yet you sit down there and pontificate? It’s only the younger ones who don’t know your history you can attempt to hoodwink, but we will expose you to them. You cannot disguise your inordinate ambition in a cloud of rhetorical gibberish. When it is convenient for you, you claim some credit of the Obasanjo-Atiku government and when not convenient, you say Obasanjo was in charge and not you as Vice-President. The proper posturing of a con artist!

TO WAZIRI ATIKU ABUBAKAR: A FINAL WORD FOR A DIMINISHING STAR (PART 2) Permit me to continue this contribution by sharing the words of Mr. Babachir Lawal, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation during the tenure of President Muhammadu Buhari. He said, "I loathe @Atiku. He is not a good man and he is easy to manipulate by riff-raff. I would prefer to return to Tinubu than be with him. Under Atiku Nigeria would suffer a chaotic crash." These are strong words coming from a man who knows you better than most and who comes from your state. He also said the following: “Atiku is a man that doesn’t see life in you if you are not a Fulani man. You are nothing. He doesn’t see you if you are not a Fulani man… I can’t say maybe as a Muslim, but if you are not a Fulani man, you are entitled to nothing from him or for him or by him.” Lawal's words are instructive and plausible. More importantly they provide the basis of an explanation for your pompous airs, vain mien, divisive nature, inexplicable errors of judgement, unacceptable behaviour, self-serving characteristics, treacherous disposition, deceitful ways, insatiable greed, pathological lust for power, insufferable arrogance and unfathomable and never-ending sense of entitlement. Then there are the words of Governor Donald Duke, the former Governor of Cross River State and the presidential candidate of the PRP. In August 2026, Duke shared an account from Seun Oloketuyi’s book 'How to Win Elections in Nigeria'. He described an informal meeting at the Presidential Villa involving former Head of State General Ibrahim Babangida (IBB), former Head of State General Abdulsalami Abubakar, President Olusegun Obasanjo and you amid strained relations ahead of Obasanjo’s 2003 re-election bid. Duke said your moves raised doubts about your loyalty leading Obasanjo to call him late one night complaining of betrayal. At a later meeting that you arranged Babangida allegedly pulled Obasanjo aside and said, “I warned you not to trust that your deputy.” Returning to the group Babangida looked at you and told Obasanjo “this one cannot rule Nigeria.” Assuming this account is accurate and factual, Babangida was right. Whichever way, what cannot be disputed or doubted are Obasanjo's words about you which he shared during the course of an interview with a television station on October 3rd 2018. He said, "Atiku Abubakar does not have the right sense of judgment and on a number of occasions I pointed this out to him. He complained too much and wasn't able to understand or learn what it takes to be a President so I gave up." Obasanjo's testimonial against you is damning. He is clearly as incisive and insightful today as he was 50 years ago when he first took over the reins of power as Military Head of State and 27 years ago when he was first elected as President. Though initially deceived, he eventually figured you out for what you are: a complicated and conflicted character and a deceptive and disloyal individual who covets the seat of his elders and betters and who does not have the discipline and courage to be loyal. Simply put you cannot be trusted with power and may God help our country if it were to ever slip into your hands. Some have argued that one week later, on October 11 2018, Obasanjo flipped and expressed his support for your presidential ambition during the course of a meeting in his Abeokuta home with you and some Christian and Muslim clerics after you won the primaries for the PDP ticket. This is false. At that meeting Obasanjo declared that he forgave you for your past sins but he did NOT give you a full scale and unequivocal endorsement. As the late Obadiah Mailafia, the presidential candidate of the then ADC, argued at the time it was primarily a forgiveness and reconciliation exercise brokered by clerics and not a full political endorsement. Obasanjo had previously been strongly opposed to you and in August 2018 had said, “God will not forgive me if I support Atiku”. I concede that his public language may appear to have gone further than simple forgivenes at the 11th October meeting but those of us that know Obasanjo well recognise the fact that he was speaking tongue in cheek when he used the "President to be" words on receiving you in his home. He was simply mocking you even though this may have been lost on you. The truth is that this was not a clear, unambiguous campaign endorsement of the type Obasanjo has given other candidates. The dominant theme was forgiveness after a review of past grievances with supportive language layered on top. Obasanjo may have expressed forgiveness for you on that occasion after you prostrated before him and begged but the suggestion that he ever endorsed your candidacy is simply far-fetched. Be rest assured that my criticism of you will not stop despite your words to me on WhatsApp or the puerile nonsense your minions are pushing out. Permit me to add the following. Since you raised the issue of credibility, this is for the record. I was prosecuted in four courts over 18 years on criminal charges that were all politically motivated. There were four cases. I appeared before 12 judges, including at the Court of Appeal, and by the grace of God I won every one of them. I was detained for 10 days in 2008, three months in 2016, and a further three months later that year: 6 months and 10 days in all, in hideous conditions. For weeks I was held in the Boko Haram section of Kuje prison with only Boko Haram prisoners, to punish and silence me. It failed. For those 18 years a daily media trial pronounced me guilty without evidence or conviction. Two of my wives and two of my children were harassed by the security forces. One was locked in a bank in Ekiti with my one-year-old son, surrounded by armed men, for six hours, for no just cause. I never complained publicly. I took it as a test from God, kept my faith, and trusted my lawyers. I also trusted the Nigerian judiciary, which refused to be intimidated into jailing an innocent man. I went through that storm with humility and dignity. I did not lament, claim persecution, or beg for a soft landing. Yet you question my credibility. I will not let that go. I paid my dues, proved my innocence and earned my credibility. Through it all I never broke. I counted it as joy and continuously gave thanks to God. I am one of the most investigated and prosecuted politicians in Nigeria’s history. The system wanted me jailed because I trod on powerful toes yet I was discharged and acquitted in every case. I should add this. In 2008, when my legal travails began, I took an oath that until I had been cleared of ALL my criminal charges and acquitted of every single one I would not step out of Nigeria for any reason. After winning the first case in 2015 they hit me with two more in 2016 (one in Abuja and one in Lagos) and finally they hit me with another in 2021. I have a beautiful home and family in Ghana and I have a home in the UK as well. All my children, who are adults, live abroad and every single one of them, including my siblings has foreign passports and dual nationality which I am also entitled to because my father was born in the UK and I lived there for most of my life ever since I was 7 years old. Yet despite all this, much to the shock of my lawyers, children, wives, family members, Pastors, staff, friends and political associates, for those 18 years when I faced one politically-motivated criminal prosecution after the other I did not travel abroad once, I did not go to see my wife and older children, I did not go for a medical check-up and I never once complained publicly about being persecuted but rather fought my battles humbly and quietly in the courtroom with prayer, bore my pain with dignity and continued to make my contribution to politics and public commentary as if all was well. I kept my oath not to step out of my beloved Nigeria until the cases were over no matter what and it was only after I won my final case on February 4th 2025 that I gave myself the green light to leave the country. Many will ask why this was so and the reason, though old fashioned, is simple: unlike others I could not carry the shame of being accused of things I never did and then be travelling all over the world as if I had no issues at home. Honor could not allow me to do such a thing. I felt that I owed my family name and integrity and especially my late biological father Chief Remi Fani-Kayode, my late political mentor Alhaji Umaru Shinkafi, my political father, President Olusegun Obasanjo and my spiritual father Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams, the father of the Pentecostal movement in Ghana, that much. I felt I needed to prove to them all that their son would stand and fight for his name at home before leaving the country and gallivanting all over the world again so that when I do leave I would be doing so without blemish or question marks and with my head held high. As difficult as it was and despite the pleading of my wives and loved ones to do otherwise and at least travel for holidays and medical check-ups I refused to do so. Instead I paid the price of pain and isolation, I honored my oath and word and I trusted that God, having seen my faith in Him and sacrifice of not leaving the shores of my country for all those years, would fight for me all the more. I was right, He did and I give Him thanks. And by the way in all those 18 years despite the fact that I was in the accused box in one court or the other literally every two weeks, I only missed the court sitting on five occasions! All this and you suggest that I do not have credibility? My credibility, courage and resilience have been tested for over a stretch of 18 years and I have come out with flying colors whereas yours have not! That is the bitter truth. Only when you and your gang of slanderers and accusers of the brethren have faced the same scrutiny, the same ordeal and come out clean and cleared of every charge can you talk to me about credibility. The truth is that you do not know the meaning of the word and over the coming months you will be exposed for the incompetent, power-hungry megalomaniac and despicable narcissist that you are and the Nigerian people will be made aware of how your quest for power is a grave danger to the welfare, unity and future of the Nigerian state. Permit me to conclude with the following. Some may argue that your treachery and rebellion against Obasanjo was an isolated event but let me remind you that your propensity to betray others was not limited to him. Consider the following. You betrayed Shehu Musa Yar'Adua, your mentor, and ran away with your tail between your legs to live abroad when he was wrongly jailed and eventually murdered. You betrayed Olusegun Obasanjo who made you Vice President. You betrayed Umaru Yar'Adua, opposed him when he ran for the Presidency, left the @OfficialPDPNig after he won and refused to stand by him when he fell critically ill and later died even though he was the younger brother of your mentor Shehu Musa Yar’Adua, who had literally picked you from the gutter and brought you into politics. You betrayed @officialABAT who saved your political career and rehabilitated you by bringing you into his party ACN. You betrayed @GEJonathan after he brought you back to PDP. You betrayed @MBuhari and Bola Tinubu again after they brought you into the @OfficialAPCNg. You betrayed @GovWike and the PDP after they let you back into their ranks and gave you their presidential ticket in 2019. You not only betrayed but also destroyed and shattered the soul and foundation of the PDP in 2023 after you violated their zoning formula, conspired with others to deny the South the presidential ticket even though it was their turn, took it for yourself and split the party. Finally you betrayed the @ADCNig , whose flag you are now flying, by hijacking it from a hard-working and decent young man called Nafiu Bala Gombe and then later splitting it up by driving away leaders like @PeterObi and @KwankwasoRM, compelling them to go and form their own party and rigging your way into getting the presidential ticket. Are these constant betrayals and habitual acts of sabotage and treachery what you would describe as credible behaviour Waziri? If you believe so then you really do need to see a psychiatrist. I urge you not to send me anymore private messages. If you have anything to say to me, say it yourself and say it publicly. Needless to say I will respond with vigour. That is what being credible is all about! Despite all I shall still not call you Kachalla. A final word which is borne out of love and concern for someone who was once our Vice President. It is clear to me that you are suffering from frustration which has led to depression. I say this because it is very rare to see a man that is over 80 years old being openly rude. My fear for you is when you lose the election that you will not suffer a mental breakdown. Your family and loved ones must take this seriously. Be rest assured that I will be one of those praying you. Shalom Waziri. TO WAZIRI ATIKU ABUBAKAR: A FINAL WORD FOR A DIMINISHING STAR (PART 1) I received a WhatsApp message from @Atiku on Sunday afternoon in response to my open letter to him which was published earlier that day titled 'AND NOW YOU CALL HIM BOLA' together with another article which I published the Sunday before titled 'THE 7TH BID OF WAZIRI'. For the record he wrote: "PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE FEMI. YOU SIMPLY DON'T HAVE THE CREDIBILITY TO CRITICISE ME". My response to him, inter alia, was as follows: "IF I AM NOT CREDIBLE ENOUGH TO EXPOSE YOU THEN WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU ARE CREDIBLE ENOUGH TO EXPOSE OR DISRESPECT OBJ, GEJ, BAT OR KS? IF I DO NOT HAVE THE CREDIBILITY TO CRITICISE YOU OR THE RIGHT TO DO SO, WHO DOES? IF I AM NOT CREDIBLE WITH ALL I HAVE EXPERIENCED, SEEN AND BEEN THROUGH IN POLITICS OVER THE LAST 30 YEARS AND THE EVIL I HAVE SURVIVED OVER THE LAST 20 YEARS THEN WHO IS? CERTAINLY NOT YOU OR AMAECHI SIR". That is where our conversation ended. Waziri, forgive me, but given this, coupled with the wild and indecorous words that you used against @officialABAT in the press conference that you gave just yesterday, I am inclined to agree with my learned friend and brother @fkeyamo SAN, the Honorable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace, who responded by saying, "Atiku actually needs mental health support at this critical time as he peters out into political oblivion". Outside of that, in the light of recent developments, I am constrained to write to you yet again. I say this because I was told that on Sunday afternoon, at the same moment that you sent me your message on WhatsApp, your minion and most junior cheerleader, a sickly creature who looks twice his age, who is withering away from some strange disease and whose name I always forget, wrote an article in an attempt to respond to my open letter to you. I was reliably informed that amongst much else in his "response" he wrote that my supposedly "estranged" ex-wife, who remains very close and dear to me even though we are no longer married, had said a number of ugly things about me in the past, all of which I have denied, even though we are at peace today and have put all that behind us. The disjointed verbiage and unadulterated garbage that your dog wrote which only my press secretary found the time to read and which is below my dignity and status to respond to is, to me, like water off a duck's back. Lions do not respond to dogs and this is especially so when that dog only has three legs and no tail. Simply put I do not take cognisance of anything your hired help writes: I would rather give my attention to you personally. If you do not have the strength and courage to respond to me publicly yourself, as you have done privately, then at least send your rumbustious, owambe-loving, champagne-swirling, bon vivant and chief cheerleader whose defunct Pendulum column I used to read and who is infinitely more qualified to carry out this fool's errand and not some unlettered village idiot or prize fool like the creature you sent. That chief cheerleader also made reference to my ex-wife a few months ago during the course of an acrimonious debate that I had with him on X about President Tinubu and he insisted on bringing my family into the discourse. Sadly it doesn't stop there. Yet another one of your cheerleaders, a former Senator with a bald head and a silver grey beard, who sometimes insists on wearing a skirt and who sleeps with cars and motorbikes in his bedroom also resorted to attacking the family of his adversaries during the course of political discourse by once threatening to "beat and impregnate" Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady, right there on the Senate floor and by insulting President Tinubu's entire family, including his children and all of their mothers, on television just a few months ago. In fairness to him whilst admitting that he threatened to "beat" Senator Tinubu he denied the "impregnate" part but went on to say, in the most shameless, inappropriate and indecorous manner, that she had "entered menopause". He also resorted to mocking the President's age and health in the 2023 presidential election campaign by singing insulting and utterly depraved songs at campaign rallies in the presence of the godless deplorables that were on the campaign trail with him who ought to have known better and told him to stop. My question is as follows: are you the one that encourages these troubled souls that hover around you to resort to this uncouth behaviour or is it that they are just dysfunctional and ill-mannered? Whatever the case I hold you accountable for not being able to control them. I am constrained to ask, is that the best your media team can do? Talk about what wives and ex-wives say about their husbands and former husbands or rant about the personal lives and families of others? Should they not stick to soft-sell magazines if that is the sort of rubbish they want to write about? In any case where were these rascals when you and I sat in President Olusegun Obasanjo's Federal Executive Council 20 years ago? Yet since they have chosen to tread that path I pity you because what your ex-wife has said about you has now become fair game. Ditto your family matters and the tragic misfortune that constantly stalks your closest aides each time you run for the Presidency. If you insist that we go down this murky rabbit hole we will and we shall do so together. Your aides forget that I am not on the ballot but you are. There was a time when family members were regarded as being sacrosanct and kept out of political discourse and war but not anymore. Sadly your boys have lowered the bar and your camp will regret it. I am now constrained to go back into the records and talk about what your estranged ex-wife, Jennifer Douglas, said about you, what she did to you, what you did to her and more importantly what she allegedly did for you in the Leno Adesanya Mambilla Power Plant fraud and other questionable matters. For example the U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations (2010) documented more than $40 million USD in suspect transfers involving your then-wife Jennifer Douglas. I wonder what you have to say about this? That is a real report even though, in fairness, it did not produce an indictment or a criminal conviction against you because, by that time, you had conveniently fled America. Whatever she said about me, at least my ex-wife did not throw all my personal belongings, including my underwear, out into the streets from my Dubai home and keep everything that was there, including the furniture, the cars, the washing machine, the kitchen utensils and the house itself for herself. Neither did she complain about the company I kept with men. Again there are the words of Fati Muhammed, a Kannywood actress and former associate who claims she was very close to you. Just a few days ago she said the following: "I have been supporting Atiku in politics since 2007 and what has kept me away from him is his lies and broken promises". One wonders what you did to this lady to attract such 'accolades' from her. I guess we shall soon find out. Outside of that we shall also talk about precisely what you did at the airports and seaports in your younger days as a Customs officer, how you allowed 51 suitcases filled with God knows what to be smuggled through Lagos Airport and what your link with a shady Italian national called Gabriele Volpi and his son Matteo really was. I will also mention your affiliation with NICOTES (which later became Intels) and how a Customs Officer like you went from a rather conservative salary to being a large shareholder in a multi-billion dollar corporation overnight whilst you were still in Customs. Again what you did when you were Vice President between 1999 and 2007 which led you to be the subject of an extensive investigation by the American FBI and which caused President Obasanjo to express his deep regrets about picking you as his running mate and calling you "very corrupt" becomes relevant. So does your link with Congressman William J. Jefferson, an American legislator who was sentenced to 13 years in 2009 after the FBI found 90,000 USD cash in his freezer which was part of a 500,000 USD bribe which had been asked for and he was planning to give to a very highly placed Nigerian Government official. It has been alleged that the Government official in question was you but, in fairness, this is yet to be proved, you were not indicted or convicted for it and I cannot therefore confirm it as a fact and neither do I claim to do so. Yet it is worth our attention and scrutiny and we shall find out more about this sordid case and whether you had any involvement in the malfeasance. The easiest way for you to sort this matter out though and clear the ugly rumours that you had asked for the bribe is for you to travel to America, report to the FBI and let them ask you the relevant questions. If you have nothing to hide or fear I suggest you do this as soon as possible so that we can finally clear the air. Again there was the unresolved allegation of the 'Special Purpose Vehicle' (SPV) which was a corporate vehicle that you allegedly told your former media aide, Mr. Michael Achimugu, that you created specially for the purpose of avoiding what you allegedly described as "open corruption" and siphoning public funds in order to raise money for funding the PDP and your private usage. In 2023 Achimugu released an audio tape of a conversation with a man whom he claimed was you making these startling and damning confessions and that voice was heard explaining to him in graphic and clear terms how a conspiracy was hatched to commit such thievery. In fairness, you claimed that the voice was not yours and neither can I confirm or deny that it was. However under normal circumstances this provides enough evidence to, at the very least, result in a full criminal investigation and, if found wanting, a formal prosecution but instead of thanking God that the matter was not treated with the seriousness that it deserved you still insist on running for the Presidency whilst at the same time claiming that others do not have the credibility to criticise you. What a nerve! The truth is that the assertion that anyone that is a freeborn Nigerian lacks the credibility to criticise a man that has so many questions to answer like you is simply asinine. Permit me to add that there are also things you allegedly did many years earlier in the 1980s and 1990s that are, to say the least, suspicious and questionable. We shall look into all these things after which we shall all be in a position to know who has credibility and who does not. As an opener kindly tell us why you allegedly cannot go to America freely and without your associates helping you to get a "special package visa" as they did in 2019? If this is true and, I have no way of confirming or denying that it is, it gives cause for concern. These things need to be looked into and discussed because you are aspiring to become our President. You talk about credibility but I am not the one that betrayed my principal and boss and in the process privatised the whole of Nigeria! You did that and if you had the chance you would do it all over again. The truth is you are nowhere near me in terms of pedigree, credibility, education, upbringing or lineage. The only thing you have is money and though your vast wealth may buy houses, cars, gold bars, private jets, political parties and the worship and adulation of your court jesters and cheerleaders it cannot buy CLASS or CHARACTER and neither can it move the finger of God or tamper with the manifest destiny of men. Honored to have been invited to a wonderful dinner and fireside chat by the Managing Director, Samaila Zuberu, and Board of Directors of African Finance Corporation last night. It was a wonderful evening and we enjoyed the prescence and tapped from the wisdom of the father of our nation and one of the greatest elder statesman that Africa has ever been graced with, my leader and father, President Olusegun Obasanjo GCFR, who spoke eloquently and with remarkable precision and detail for over one hour. My brother Mr. Tony Elumelu, the Chairman of the Elumelu Foundation, was also there together with Otunba Johnson Oyewole Fasawe, the Asiwaju of Owo, General Martins Agwai, the former Chief of Army Staff and former Chief of Defence Staff of the Nigerian Armed Forces, Mr. Mohammed Ibn Chambas, the former Foreign Minister of Ghana and so many other distinguished guests from all over Africa. The African Finance Corporation has grown in leaps and bounds over the last twenty years since it was established by the administration of President Obasanjo just before he left office in 2007 and has gone from strength to strength under the able leadership of its Board. As a Nigerian and an African I am so proud of them and my prayer is that they continue to prosper and go from strength to strength. (FFK)
