@PryorReiners ARE YOU KIDDING ME 🤯🤯 #iahsfb 🎥: Iowa City Liberty Football

That was wild. Reece Wheeler, Neil James and the Trojans of Iowa City West overcome a tremendous City High attack to win the Boot. The Trojans scored 30 points after halftime to win a dramatic, final seconds thriller 30-29. Week one, that was fun.

THE BOOT STAYS WITH WEST. 👢🔥 City High was driving late and took a shot downfield, but @neil_james5 came up with the interception to slam the door. @ICWestFB hangs on and keeps The Boot. 🎥⬇️ #iahsfb

Iowa City West trailed City High for nearly all but the final minute of the game. Iowa OL commit James Barnett (No. 65) paves the way for the QB sneak by Reece Wheeler to tie it with 1:11 to go. West kicker Jadon Vanderpuye gets the PAT and the Trojans win 30-29.

My family and I hosted my O-line over for team bonding and dinner. We can’t wait for Friday! Let’s do this boys!

Only 15 Days left to our first Iowa Friday Night Football. Iowa City is led by @reecesain7 and coming off a strong 8-win season and state playoff quarterfinal appearance in 2025. The @ICWestFB Trojans are ready to run it back in 2026 and we are excited to watch all their home games on @midwestsportstv this year.
