Everyone agrees Nigeria runs on stablecoins. Nobody was actually measuring it. So we did wallet by wallet. $484M in retail stablecoin flow across 10 venues, attributed onchain, not estimated. Here's what the data shows 🧵

I nearly didn't answer the call. Unknown international number. Middle of the working day. Usually, this is someone with a very exciting investment opportunity. The man introduced himself as Tim. Tim who? Cook. I waited for somebody to laugh. Nobody did. He said he'd been reading Fintech Is Easy. Which was nice, but still did not explain why the man running Apple was calling me. Then he got to the point. They had a device. The hardware worked. The hinge worked. What they needed was a reason for someone to open it. Not another demo of somebody moving a spreadsheet from one screen to two. A real use case. Apparently, they'd been looking in the wrong places. "How long are your articles?" he asked. I said it depends on what the fintech industry has done that week. There was a pause. "And people read them on their phones?" Most of them, yes. Another pause. Then he asked me to send the link. A few minutes later, he sent back this photo. Fintech Is Easy. On the iPhone Duo. Finally, enough screen for the introduction before I get to the point. All those years of writing about product-market fit, and it turns out I was the product the hardware was waiting for. I asked whether this made me an Apple partner. He said I should probably just share the link. fintechiseasy.com

Earlier in year after raising for evolution , I was telling one of my investors that I wanted to get like a house with everyone on the team and we livestream how we build evolution everyday, and everyone gets to watch how we build a Global product from Nigeria 🇳🇬. It sounded insane to him but yeah i still wanna run that someday.

Deep in the data pipelines for tickerng.com lately. Cleaning, transforming, and structuring financial data at scale has its headaches, but seeing the ETL flow seamlessly is unmatched satisfaction.

Their fanbase is so funny man, they thought a winger who doesn’t dribble/create/score to a high level would be their key to a Champions League because he “presses”

🚨🎙️ | Michael Carrick on #mufc's latest team news: "Ayden [Heaven] is back with group, he was suffering from illness but is back around the group and then we'll see what the next couple of days bring [for the others]. "It's more mentally now. Physically, the boys are recovering from a game and there is only so much training you can do out on the grass. "It's more mental and being prepared for what's next." [MU]

Extraordinary and very impressive speech from Michael Carrick to start his press conference. Feels like a line in the sand moment. Get the sense the United hierarchy really want an end to the cycle of managers at Old Trafford, but if the squad don't produce a reaction to that now, then it's hard to see where else they go from here. Hard not to be impressed by the way Carrick has gone about things off the pitch in recent weeks, however. It's clear how much this is hurting him and just how much he cares. Nobody can be in any doubt what Manchester United means to him #mufc
