Americans want fewer data centers. Republican leaders across Georgia continue to ignore our concerns. Democrats are fighting for common-sense legislation, like Rep Ruwa Romman's @ruwaromman HB 1012, which called for a pause on new data center construction. Right now, voters have an opportunity to put leaders in charge who care about us, not just Big Tech and Georgia Power. From flipping the majority on the PSC to electing Democrats on the ballot from Ossoff and Bottoms to the bottom, we can take back control. 🗳️ #voteblue #gapol #GAVotes #TakeBackControl

Gotta love it when people who probably haven’t been to a single city council meeting or looked at their city’s budget think that their city could survive on no property taxes.
The amount of people commenting and reposting this defending property taxes is astonishing. No way this many people love paying taxes! Property taxes are a joke. The government can provide schools, roads, emergency services, etc. with the money they take from our income, sales, etc. if they weren't corrupt and foolish. I don't need to pay $3800 a year for schools I don't even use.

I have my critiques of No Kings-style protests but as it happens I actually know some of the “boomer” activists in this video and it’s worth noting they spend countless hours doing immigrant activist work; bringing them food, diapers, helping them with school forms, etc.
My entire feed has been French people actually protesting then this video popped up on my feed The US will never get anything done if protests stay like this

1. this is crazy fucking racist and Islamophobic 2. this guy gives off the biggest "wrote his own wikipedia page" energy I've ever seen in my life
Unless Abdul El-Sayed can unequivocally condemn the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, Hezbollah, SJP, the IRGC, and Hasan Piker, Barack Obama should absolutely not campaign with him. I understand and support the drive to win majorities in Congress, but we Democrats will be doing immeasurable harm to ourselves if we drop all standards and violate our best principles in pursuit of that goal.

It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But that’s exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. To understand why this is so appalling, it’s important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically. Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administration’s fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country. Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone — all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case. Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies — from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve. In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omar’s life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and she’s been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota. The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omar’s political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, there’s no reason to believe it will stop with her — or that future presidents, in either party, won’t do the same.

He says the name just fine when he’s begging the Qataris for a personal jet or the Saudis for funding for his son-in-law’s private equity firm. Wonder what’s changed?
Trump on El-Sayed: "His name is actually Abduladadalalalala. It's Adulbabababababa Mohammed Al-Sayed. So his middle name is Mohammed. So I was right. He's a jihadist."

I can’t even say anything pithy, because it really is that depressing. What a line.

“You work harder and harder, but the treadmill gets faster and steeper, and the bills get higher and higher.”
Ossoff: Official indifference and corporate disrespect have become systemic, when millions are just one medical bill, one short paycheck, one bad alternator from financial disaster. You work harder and harder, but the treadmill gets faster and steeper, and the bills get higher and higher. A 60-hour workweek still needs SNAP. And that bucket-list trip’s off the table for good. And then, instead of reading your daughter her favorite book, that precious spare hour after work, you’re on the phone begging the insurance company to cover the medicine that prevents her seizures. The Army lost the records you need to claim your VA benefits, and it takes a year and 12 phone calls to fix it. You report the black mold to your landlord, who doesn’t fix the leak, and the ambulance for your toddler’s asthma is followed by a $3,000 bill.

Keisha Lance Bottoms: Now speaking of Slick Rick, he's spending millions of dollars trying to hold on to the billions that he's making off the taxpayers of Georgia… In fact, never in the history of this state has so much money been spent to slander one candidate and one family. But guess what, Georgia? We are still standing

OSSOFF: I refuse to leave my girls a world as dark and dangerous and cruel as this one threatens to become. I refuse to accept that they will grow up with artificial friends and teachers in a society where the sick die not because there's no cure, but because they have no money—where we have enough nuclear weapons to destroy the world a thousandfold but we still refuse to guarantee healthcare for every citizen.  When Eva's old enough to ask me why I let this happen. I'm determined to answer truthfully that I didn't.

Jason Carter introducing Keisha Lance Bottoms :There's an old country song that says they raised the price of dreams so high, we couldn't pay. And for too many people that is true. We do not need another Trump. We need somebody who will fight because they understand exactly what's going on in the lives of regular people all across this state. And we have that person…
