Meet Chakra, our agentic interviewer built to help companies hire the next-generation of knowledge workers. Chakra can spin up any canvas you want and give candidates a real-world problem to work on. This way, you get to see how someone actually works, and evaluate their judgment, critical thinking, and how AI fluent they are. Read the full story here: techcrunch.com/2026/10/05/ha…

Everyone says AI killed fresher hiring. @TCS just onboarded 10,000 freshers in a quarter. But look at where TCS is growing. Its AI business grew 19%. The rest of the business shrank. Freshers aren’t going away. It’s the shape of the job that is changing.

How is @sundarpichai not owning pich.ai? How is @UpdatesChennai not owning chenn.ai? Any other obvious domain names that people should own?

Sam Altman on why AI didn't kill coding jobs: "the world actually had demand for just way more software than any of us thought at the time." Demand for engineers isn't shrinking. What we hire for is changing: less typing code, more judgment, system design and reviewing AI's work.

Barclays expects half of its developers to be using Claude Code by the end of this year. AI will be part of how they build, test, secure, and operate technology. A bank founded in 1690 just updated its curriculum faster than your college.

We started @HackerRank a decade ago with the belief that skills matter more than pedigree. That’s still our core ethos, but the skills required to do the job have changed. So, we're tearing down our past and reinventing the company from scratch. Meet Chakra - the future of hiring.

Wow. Snowflake says 70-80% of its engineering hiring right now is juniors. Agents write most of the code, and engineers take ownership. Writing code is no longer the bottleneck. Knowing when an agent is confidently wrong is. And that skill has nothing to do with seniority. If you don’t hire junior engineers today, how will you have senior engineers in 2031?

Anthropic built an agent to analyze interview scorecards for employees hired since 2024. The clearest change is increased emphasis on whether candidates have demonstrated creative use of AI tools. In 2024, 5% of feedback focused on this for technical roles and 7% of feedback focused on this for non-technical roles. By 2026, these rates have tripled and quadrupled respectively!

This was the Founders Fund homepage in Jan 2013. "We wanted flying cars, instead we got 140 characters." The guy who owns the 140 characters also just demoed a flying car. Fate loves irony. Kudos @elonmusk

FDE is the hottest role, and Indian giants are picking up the pace. → TCS is building a team of up to 8,900 FDEs → Infosys is going for 6,000 FDEs → Wipro is expanding its FDE pool → Coforge, HCLTech, and LTM are all building FDE teams Pretty much everyone in services will become an FDE. That’s an unbelievable boost for the sector and for the Indian economy. Bullish!

A candidate posted Intuit's interview loop. "Nothing like LeetCode." > 10 minutes presenting a project > 75 minutes adding features to an existing codebase > 1 hour on how they would design and ship a product > 30 minutes on AI interview > 30 minutes with the manager The coding round has changed. Not solving puzzles with tricks you can learn online. But adding to the real codebase and breaking down your thinking. Code is the cheap part now. The best teams are testing judgement. Good to see more orgs moving in this direction.

Love the 3 questions 1. What’s one thing you believe that most smart people think is wrong, and why? 2. Tell us about something difficult you built, solved, or made happen. 3. What have you read recently that changed your thinking? And the work ethic. Culture/job descriptions should be self-selecting. This is a good example.
I'm hiring my next Chief of Staff. You won’t know every field I work in. What matters is how quickly you learn, the questions you ask, and whether you can think from first principles. You’ll help evaluate opportunities and work with founders building consequential companies. Technical background preferred. Three-year commitment. Menlo Park, in person.
