Why are people trying to make this about grills…no one even mentioned that? The gold put onto teeth is permanent, not removeable or difficult to remove. It is a status symbol in many regions and I have a few family members with them. They’re not the same as grills/stick on gens and some Mayan people still add on permanent gems to their teeth. Tooth gems were inspired by multiple cultures worldwide, including Mayan. Non-indigenous means anyone who is not indigenous.
