I'd like to share a little about the club where Team Ueno grew up as curlers.
SC Karuizawa Club, founded in 2004 and based in Karuizawa, Nagano, is one of Japan's leading curling clubs, with a strong commitment to developing young talent.
Miyu Ueno, Yui Ueno, and Asuka Kanai all started curling when they were just 7 to 9 years old.
Tsuyoshi Yamaguchi, who competed in the recent GSOC Co-op Invitational as skip of Team Yamaguchi, has played an important role in their development since their childhood.
In 2016, SC Karuizawa Club established its Elite Academy to nurture the next generation of curlers. Miyu, Yui, and Asuka were among its very first students.
They've grown up together, learning, training, and developing their skills through the club's long-term commitment to junior curling.
And now, after all these years, we're beginning to see the fruits of that journey blossom on the international stage.
Here are two links that tell part of their story:

I hope curling fans around the world will continue to follow Team Ueno's journey!
