"What is the cost of lies? It is not that we will mistake them for the truth. The real danger is that if we hear enough lies, then we will no longer recognise the truth at all." The first words spoken in HBO's Chernobyl but somehow strangely relevant right now.

spot on. Key is knowing the REAL reason for delays, have digital tools to mitigate and/or address, but also ensuring that the remainder of the path or patients journey remains clear of other bottlenecks... without the unnecessary bunfights & manual overheads historically endured.

However, reduction in beds causes capacity & flow issues with the back pressure likely felt in A&E + Amb waits and electives = 0sumGame. Which mirrors the issue in addressing symptoms rather than underlying causes.

Assumptions like this - shifting focus onto cost cutting rather than delivering svc are likely to result in RP2PP in that beds & staff are sunk costs. Reducing bed count doesn't reduce cost unless you get rid of them, but does allows staff to cope better with lower bed vol.

The "tyrannical, destructive COVID-19 pandemic policies that included lockdowns, mask mandates, social distancing, and the ruination of countless businesses and livelihoods" happened when Trump was president. They were all gone within 5 months of Biden taking office.

Beds … with the lowest number of hospital beds the NHS continues to cut them The premise an empty bed cost £. They don’t, they provide flexibility, opportunity to admit someone while another bed is being emptied. Blocked A&E cancelled operations! NHSE 5000 more permanent beds

It’s a remarkable coincidence that SpaceX discovered and closed a “loophole” in a way that severely harmed Ukraine in the very same week that the White House had a dispute with Ukraine. Just astonishing luck that SpaceX lawyers got to the issue at the very same time by chance!
Correct. Using Starlink, a civilian commercial service, for offensive drone strikes to kill people has never been allowed, nor should it be. Starshield, a different system, is controlled by the US government. What they decide to do is up to them. Ukraine military violated Starlink terms of service and used it for offensive drone strikes to kill people. That loophole was closed last week. Starlink remains critical to the defense of Ukraine, as it is the only system that cannot be jammed or blown up, at least for now. Were Starlink to be turned off, the Ukrainian front line would collapse immediately. This is NOT a threat, it is simply a statement of fact. Starlink was also crucial to preventing Russia from overrunning Ukraine in the early days of the war, as all other means of communication were destroyed or jammed by Russia. SpaceX has done more to defend Ukraine than any private company on Earth BY FAR. That said, I have nothing but UTTER CONTEMPT for the virtue-signaling evil warmongers who push for endless slaughter and offer no realistic solution to the conflict. May you burn in hell. End of story.

All the useful idiots promoting the idea that NATO expansion caused the Russian invasion of Ukraine seem to forget that no amount of NATO "pressure" ever persuaded Finland or Sweden to join...

What did was the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Perhaps the best explanation why so many ex-Warsaw Pack countries joined NATO was not pressure, but prescience.

Agree. @YvetteCooperMP was quick to acknowledge discharge was a complete mess. Focus on Flow would address this or at least the ability to see flow in real-time, across Health & Care would highlight where the real issues are, and inform better policy.

It’s amazing that the US is refusing major Ukrainian concessions (and these are) while asking nothing at all of Russia. The US seems fine with Putin attacking anything he wants in Ukraine.
🇺🇸🇺🇦 Zelensky offered the US three options to stop strikes on Russian refineries! "I said: if you want us not to hit diesel, refineries, then let them (the Russians, - ed.) not hit our electricity. This is fair. An energy truce. The second option is you open Starlink over Russia, we show you the places where there are ballistic missile launchers. We want to destroy them. The third option is if you don't open Starlink to us, and it depends only on you, and you said that Musk doesn't want it, then give us something that doesn't depend on Musk and Putin - missiles for Patriot."
