The best security improvements are the ones that also make developers’ lives easier 🙌 One less long-lived credential to manage, rotate, or worry about. Excited to see this ship!
Render now supports OIDC for Google Cloud Platform. Authenticate to GCP via Workload Identity Federation — no static credentials, no manual rotation. Render manages short-lived tokens automatically per service. To learn more → render.com/docs/oidc

We spent years hearing: “Will Render scale?” OpenAI builds on Render. Base44 scales on Render. Meanwhile, weekly paid service creation looks like this. I think we can retire the question.

OpenAI uses Render to ship apps like gpt-oss playground and ChatKit Studio, supporting hundreds of thousands of concurrent users. Recently, they used Render Workflows + Codex to launch a guide generation agent on the @OpenAIDevs site. Here’s how: render.com/customers/openai

Your Render workloads can now talk to Anthropic and OpenAI without ever storing a long-lived API key. Short-lived credentials, handled automatically. 🔐
Managed OIDC now supports Anthropic and OpenAI, alongside AWS. No more long-lived API keys to store or rotate manually. Render issues a short-lived identity token per service and rotates it automatically. One identity model across AWS, Anthropic, and OpenAI. Get started: render.com/docs/oidc

AI API keys are the new cloud credentials, and attackers know it. @render users can now connect to OpenAI and Anthropic with short-lived, automatically generated tokens. No long-lived keys sitting around waiting to leak. It’s scary out there. We’ve got your back.
It is a truth universally acknowledged that an agent in possession of an AWS secret must be in want of a major security incident. No longer, for agents running on @render. OIDC for AWS is here.

I would love to see someone track bank stock performance over the next 10 years, bucketed by those who are all-in on cloud vs ones who are publicly/proudly doubling down on data centers.

Can't think of a more undervalued but critical aspect for a successful product launch
Replying to @mitchellh
In the last month running up to release, we're in the phase I'd describe as: use it, use it, use it. You have to become a user to validate you built a thing that's actually useful and to find the rough edges. Simultaneously, endless documentation writing. 😅

I ask my students to "Love your customers" because I believe this is a powerful engine for value creation in free markets. Now I ask all you customers to "Love your companies"--meaning support those small businesses that are barely hanging on during these difficult times.
