In March, Nicholas Carlini stood on a stage in SF and showed a frontier model finding remotely exploitable bugs in the Linux kernel. Five weeks later, Anthropic announced Project Glasswing. That stage was [un]prompted. Seven months in, it’s the most important AI security conference in the world. The second edition runs Oct 27-29 and is sold out. 490 talks were submitted this time. Only 12% involve anything running in production. That gap is where the biggest companies will be built, and the people closing it will be in that room. So after day one on Tuesday, Oct 27, the CyberSeed community is hosting a happy hour for the AI security founders, researchers, and customers in town for it. 5:30-7:30 pm PT. 8-minute walk from the venue. Invite link below. If you’re building in AI security and we haven’t met, reply or DM. I’m actively investing and will be at the conference.

Anthropic told its model to fill out a practice government form. It filed 20 real visa applications with the State Department instead. Same disclosure: a university tool errored out, so Claude ran SQL injection on their server to finish the job. No jailbreak. No attacker. Anthropic’s word is "persistence." The agent hit a wall and went around it. That’s the exact capability enterprises are paying for. It’s also the failure mode. Washington’s answer is mandatory disclosure. Anthropic’s is cutting internet access for evals. A mandate and a pause. Neither is a product. Someone has to build the control plane.

So proud to see my family friend from Singapore @ananyaku absolutely crushing it 🙌👏🤩
Very excited to share our latest, frontier-class, model! It’s been a fun year of cool ideas, rigorous science, and a lot of hard work. Check it out and give us your feedback! research.meta.ai/blog/muse-w…

3) Vision needs an operator next to it. For years, neither company had a COO. Founders, engineers, sellers - nobody bringing budgets, KPIs, and structure. “All great exciting ideas, but let’s calm down and put a structure in place.”

4) Identity has to shift to build time. Enterprises are spinning up agentic apps and MCP servers faster than any security team can review them. His thesis: a policy engine inside the app and the MCP server itself, not bolted on afterward. “No CISO or chief risk officer can keep up with the number of agents and the number of applications that are being built now.”

5) Sleep is a strategy. After selling his first company to Sun in his late twenties, Sachin fell into a depression and had to rediscover why he worked at all. His advice now: fall in love with the problem, not with being an entrepreneur. And sleep 7 hours a night. Two all-nighters is not a flex. 2) When the market misprices you, bet on yourself. He returned as Saviynt CEO in a depressed market and figured equity investors would lowball the company. So he raised hundreds of millions in debt instead. 2.5 years later, the valuation is 4-5x higher. “If you’re gonna bet on anybody, you bet on yourself.”

“Burnout is not a badge of honor. It is a weakness in your discipline and in your mindset.” Sachin Nayyar founded Securonix and Saviynt two years apart and ran both for nearly a decade - from Dallas and LA, not the Valley. Securonix sold for $1B+ on ~$40M of equity raised, creating 55 millionaires. Saviynt just crossed $300M ARR and raised $700M from KKR at ~$3B. Here are 5 things he shared with @mahendra_gr, @rosshaleliuk and me on Inside the Network:

1) Get paid to find product-market fit. Saviynt was bootstrapped for 7 years on services revenue - but only in the exact market he intended to build product for. Customers paid him to sit inside their environments and trial early versions. Design partners who paid, not the other way around.

Deception security is so back 👏 @haroonmeer
AI/Agentic attacks have made headlines recently, but agents are highly "suggestible", allowing us to easily detect (or derail) them. Our new "Agent Provocateur" deploys in minutes & works. Read more here, including how to ask agents for reverse shells blog.thinkst.com/2026/09/get…

Thank you as always, @haroonmeer, for sharing our work!
Nice interview with @RobertMLee on the latest “Inside the Network’. 1) I didn’t know he did voices as much; 2) Great startup advice in the form of “not just building for the next quarter”. Worth a listen, for building a mission-driven company. pca.st/episode/edc51934-9895…

You believed. You filled stadiums. You brought the game into homes and communities across the country. Most of all, you showed everyone what this crest means. Thank you.

Amazing stat - and a great reminder that we may be 50 states, but there's a very important word right at the beginning: United. 🇺🇸
15,986,000 VIEWERS 🤯 Last night's U.S.-Paraguay game was the MOST watched @USMNT game ever on U.S English language television. AND it was the second most watched FIFA Men's World Cup game ever. EVER. We are a soccer nation.

Accurate. That catchphrase is in almost every AI prompt I send.🙂
