PHP compiled by elephc just beat C. Well, naive C. 🐘 Official CI, string_concat: PHP 8.5: 86.7 ms C (strcat loop): 8.5 ms elephc: 5.9 ms strcat rescans the string on every call, O(n²). elephc reuses the buffer and grows it geometrically. macOS arm64, OPcache/JIT off.

"the tech doesn't matter"... until it does folks think NativePHP is about being able to build native apps with PHP it's really not. it's about building cross-platform native apps with speed and flexibility - no trade-offs PHP just happens to be the best way to do that

The good thing about NativePHP is that since it's native, I didn't have to change a single line of code in my app to make it fit the new iPhone Duo layout. The top bar navigation automatically moved to the right side.
