I just ran analytics on
@fomo user retention using
@socialgraphvc's dune dashboard and claude
to be clear, i love fomo and iv been building on top of it since may b4 the hype
the trigger was this week a normie friend asked me if he shld install it and i wasn't sure what i shld answer
i wanted to simply look at the data for myself to decide. im not trying to farm shit, i just need data to understand stuff.
TLDR:
• 717K wallets have traded on FOMO since launch. 76% joined in just the last 3 months (Jul–Sep '26)
• ~57% of new traders churn within their first month. By month 6, ~85% are gone
• Month-1 retention (~37%) outperforms fintech D30 benchmarks (3–11%), but the metrics aren't directly comparable — FOMO measures monthly active, not day-30
• OG cohort (Apr '25, 234 wallets) retains at 2–3x the rate of mass cohorts at every time horizon
• Jan–Mar '26 cohorts show early signs of retention stabilization (M3→M6 flat or growing).
• Platform grows DAU through intake volume, not retention improvement. 85%+ loss rates are consistent with speculative trading platforms.
