I FIGURED IT OUT! I wasn't totally screwing up beat matching. Whenever I had a channel fader all the way down (where you shouldn't be able to hear it) I would play the next track to hear how it starts... but OBS has it playing over the main channel. That's why it sounded so bad!

30th Anniversary of Wing Commander 3 is in the works. It'll contain the non-compressed original footage for the FMVs, EA still had the original tapes it was shot on.
