Stupid take. Why I strongly disagree:
People have always had the ability to build things, even before AI, yet we still see massive market concentration.
There were already thousands of e-signature software solutions before AI, but the vast majority of the market is still concentrated among a relatively small number of players.
Building software is only one part of the equation. Maintaining it, providing support, continuously improving it, shipping updates, distributing it, and keeping it reliable -> all require ongoing effort.
Just because something becomes easier to build doesn't mean people will actually build it.
In theory, saving money is easy too, yet most people don't do it consistently. Theoretically, you could build your own house or fix your own plumbing, but most people choose not to. They are lazy, prefer to pay, its not in the comfort zone, and thousands of other things... ultimately, this is less about the capability to build something and more about individual philosophy, priorities, and willingness to take responsibility for maintaining it.
With my software, Entergram, we compete for "Telegram CRM" keyword and I saw a gazillions of CRMs that launched in the previous 9 months. ALL OF them were AI slop that are now abandoned, not even the login is working properly.
Can these CRMS win some traffic? yes ofcourse, but will they maintain that traffic? unlikely unless they put the work.
At Entergram we work on this project for already 2 years, and we use AI every single day... if someone can beat us, they need to put the same amount of hours too... AI wont magically fix it.
The hours must be put.
The ass must sweat.
people are starting to realize.
there *are* no moats left. the only true moat in existence was intelligence, and now that's out of the equation.
