Voyager 0.2.0 has landed! 🛰️
Your BEAM inspector just got deeper:
🗄️ Browse and search ETS tables
⚙️ Process list and detailed process view
🤖 Full AI support for both via MCP
Take a look 👇
With Legion, you can now make external MCP clients and in-app chat agents share the same tools!
Legion is an Elixir runtime for AI agents that live inside your application and get things done by writing Lua code.
Thanks to everyone who spent the evening before @ElixirConf with us at our Chicago Elixir meetup!
@dimamikielewicz showed Legion, our runtime for AI agents that live inside your Elixir app, and Leandro Pereira covered MDEx.
Thanks @dscout for hosting us!
Fully settled in 🧢
Come and join us at @ElixirConf and bring your worst Elixir architecture problem. Grab a 20-minute slot with one of our engineers, we'll dig into it on the spot and write it up for you afterwards.

Two things we're demoing at our @ElixirConf booth in Chicago this week:
🛰️ Voyager, which shows you a running BEAM node's supervision tree and process state in one interface, and
⚡️ Legion, an agent that lives inside your Elixir app and writes code to get things done.
The people who built them are standing right next to them, so bring the hard questions.
We're also running free 20-min architecture reviews if you want a longer sit-down: calendar.google.com/calendar…
Legion puts an AI agent inside your Elixir app that gets things done by writing code against your own modules, in a sandbox.
@dimamikielewicz built it. Catch him tomorrow evening at our meetup with @dscout, or book a 20-min slot with him at our @ElixirConf booth 👇
Hey hey hey! 2 things from me!
1. I'll be speaking about Legion in the Elixir Meetup in Chicago (09/09, 6 pm)!
2. We are doing a series of offline Elixir-related 20-minute sessions with our team to help you and your organization solve any tech problem you might have.
Links in 🧵.
Two days to go and there are still a few spots left for the Elixir meetup we're running in Chicago:
👉 @dimamikielewicz on Legion
👉 @leandrocesquini on MDEx
👉 Pizza and beer on us! 🍕
Wednesday 6 PM, the evening before @ElixirConf.
Sign up: luma.com/byem6v75
And if you have an idea for a talk of your own, there's still a chance to grab a spot in the lineup ⭐️
Submit your proposal: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F…
Letting an LLM run code inside your app sounds reckless. Legion makes it boring.
Lua VM in pure @elixirlang, timeout and memory budgets, and the only way out is the modules you hand it.

🍿 Built a collaborative kanban board app to showcase Local LiveView. No server round trips for UI, still 100% Elixir. Includes modals, drag & drop, and optimistic updates.

⌛️👀
The final in-between-releases update:
🍿 OTP/BEAM stdin — added integration for stdin, simplifying integration with terminal apps, like iex.
🍿 Popcorn.Fetch — a Req adapter, allowing you to tap into browser fetch(), without any Javascript.
We need last few things to wrap this release up, you can expect it in less than a month.

🛰️ Voyager now supports Linux! With this release, our early access phase is now officially over, and the source code is now publicly available.
Here is a quick TL;DR on our new fair-source license:
✅ Free License: full access for individuals and companies up to 10 people
🏢 Company License: required for companies of 11+ people
The product is still in an early phase, and our main focus is hearing your feedback. At this stage, we are looking for your input, not your money. Free trial is available for 90 days. 👇

If you’re using Voyager and want to share how it fits your workflow - let’s meet. We want to implement your feedback and continue making the app better.

The first release of Local LiveView just landed! 🛬
It runs LiveView code in the browser via Popcorn. 🍿 Your assigns are kept local, immune to latency or network issues. Many (Live) Components work out of the box. Now with docs, guides & an Igniter installer.
