That's when I knew this "oil war" was theater. Here's what happened in the last 9 days: → Iran's security chief "warned" that cables, data centers and AI sites worth $2 TRILLION would be "within range" → The supreme leader's man at Kayhan called hitting the cables a "legitimate right" → Iran's parliament speaker announced: "The Persian Gulf Data Authority is coming" → The cables carrying the Gulf's banking, cloud and AI traffic were STILL lying unguarded on the seabed AFTER the warnings The oil everyone is watching and the data nobody is watching are TWO DIFFERENT WARS. 7 cables, by Iran's count. Each about as thick as a garden hose. Each with payments, emails and government traffic inside. The Red Sea understood first. In 2024, 4 cables were cut there. About 25% of Asia-Europe traffic was hit. One firm later said 70%. If the Gulf's own navies can't enforce the safety of a few garden hoses, the "safe" Gulf internet doesn't exist. 🚨BREAKING: MSCI officially moves to remove Michael Saylor’s Strategy from its global indexes, starting November 30. MSCI will now treat companies like Strategy as “non-operating” and ineligible for its indexes. Strategy is on MSCI’s list of potential deletions, alongside Bitcoin treasury firm Metaplanet. The final list is due on November 11. JPMorgan previously estimated Strategy could face about $2.8 BILLION of selling if dropped from MSCI indexes.
