Fortunately we just turned it into a fun day at the airport. Never underestimate coloring, books and optimism! But also, allegiant randomly moved the delayed time EARLIER in the day? I didn't even know that was possible. Haha was glad I didn't go home
Woke up all my kiddos at 4 AM today to get on a flight and then @Allegiant sends me an email at 445 that flight is delayed until this afternoon... Bro, I'm already in line to check my bags

Concerning 👀
BREAKING: Absolutely huge oversight from @elonmusk revealed in tonight's Tesla reveal. It makes absolutely NO SENSE to call the world's first flying car the roadster. It should be called the skyster!! Tesla fans in shambles after this.

i feel like people are misunderstanding the aspect of what i'm saying about nvim (and/or how dev was done for a lot of my career before). I'm super excited to be able to get to the joy of solving problems for users (whether that's random customers, other devs or myself) faster! It's going to look different than it used to, at least for me, most likely going into the future, but that's exciting because i can solve stuff i never dreamed about solving before (almost by construction - if there wasn't any improvement, then I could just... continue writing the code the way I was in 2020. that's fine! it's not illegal for me to write code by hand! I can still do that if I need/want to for something) Idk :) just rambling

People keep asking me how many times I open neovim a month these days now that AI is around. It's zero I've been stuck in NeoVim for literally 10 years. Someone please send help. I cannot get out. I'm desperately trying to get out and I can't figure it out. Even the AI is confused. We're both stuck in command mode, in terminal mode, and we can't leave. Nobody knows what the shortcut is. Help please. Help, help, help.

I think the thing people don't understand about how I used Neovim and what I liked about it (even though it's what I repeatedly said many many times) is this: I felt like it was an effective tool for solving real problems and delivering value for people on a consistent basis for a long time. Some of that value was derived from my own personal feelings and some of it was derived from things that I thought I could do faster. Some of them were just about enjoying my job, like having a ping pong table at work. I will continue to use whatever tools I think allow me to do the best job that I can over an extended period of time, deliver value for people, stay employed, and keep putting food on my family's table. Of course right now that mostly means answering emails for the Primeagen, but some day that might mean coding.

sometimes people really are afraid of learning something. it's gonna be fine if you learn something and don't use it. you're currently scrolling this site. you take some time off. your life isn't so optimized you can't spare trying hard at a few things. it'll be ok

i'm happy i learned vim even if i never open it again (i currently do still sometimes, but that's beside the point). i'm happy i learned many things, even if i don't currently use them. i'm happy i have had the chance to learn. i'm excited to keep learning too

some level up screens i'm playing with for minecraft - my son was stoked that his pickaxe started getting stronger the more he used it (and that you can repair them). pretty fun!
