𝐊𝟗 𝐋𝐎𝐔𝐈𝐄 𝐈𝐍 𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍! Watch as Broomfield Police K9 Louie alerts to the odor of narcotics during a traffic stop! On Thursday, October 22, around 1:00 p.m., a Broomfield Patrol Officer stopped a vehicle near Midway Boulevard and Yates Street for expired registration. After spotting drug paraphernalia in plain sight, officers called in K9 Louie to conduct an exterior sniff of the vehicle. As seen in this body-worn camera footage, Louie gave a positive alert to the odor of narcotics! A further investigation revealed the 41-year-old male driver had five outstanding arrest warrants. Officers also discovered more than 13 grams of methamphetamine in both liquid and solid form inside the vehicle. The driver and a 25-year-old female passenger were arrested and booked into the Broomfield Detention Center on multiple charges. Great work by K9 Louie and our Patrol Officers! *All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
