The only sign that you're actually "down bad" is if fear completely disappears. All the what if people make fun of me, how will I look, am I going to fail, none of it matters anymore. In a truly desperate state there's just no other option other than to shoot shots with unabashed shamelessness If there's still hesitation it means you still have the luxury to think and take yourself too seriously. Most people are unknowingly here but have convinced themselves that their fate is far worse, failing to realize that this is actually a worse position to be in than having access to the courage catapult found at rock bottom To get out of the stagnancy you need to either earnestly acknowledge that you're actually mega blessed and use the potency of the gratitude to fuel positive momentum, or fully sever the life rafts so you can finally take outlier risks from a legitimate place of having nothing to lose. You will walk with God in both Just can't keep putting the choice off for another day. Do you what needs to be done. As long as you avoid hanging out in the middle ground of unconscious comfort you'll always get to where you want to be. No chance you don't

Best to worst 1. Meaningful work outside of the home 2. Meaningful work inside of the home 3. Meaningless work outside of the home 4. Meaningless work inside of the home
My strongest “vibes not evidence” belief is that remote work is a cancer that’s making (most) people miserable even though it seems better in the short term.

Tried and true way to turn your life around is to just do the opposite of what your anxieties tell you to do. Great place to start is by pretending you already made it. Imagine you had the money, the relationships, the ideal reality you see in your head How would this version of yourself be moving? Doesn't have to be some huge thing. Could literally be adding guac to the order or covering the tab for a friend when the mind would usually look at your current circumstances and make you believe that you need to hold onto your limited resources for dear life Could be getting out more, striking up conversations with strangers, showing your true personality without the usual mask of "I don't have enough status" because that's exactly how light and relaxed you'd be if you were loved by those around you and had nothing to prove Pursuing a project out of pure curiosity, choosing to make a business decision out of excitement over neuroticism, letting an idea play out over months instead of scrapping it after a few days, etc. Why wouldn't you if you knew your level of internal abundance gave you permission to build your life in the most self respecting way Embody that energy for a month and see what happens. Perhaps you'll come to find that instead of needing to "get there" first before you can be here, "being there" now is what actually gets you here

Very simply put With any decision you're faced with, with any action you're hesitant to take, just ask yourself what the already wealthy, successful, cool, "dream" version of you would do in that scenario And even more simply put Would that version of you who was already secure choose the more loving action or the more fearful action? Make the more abundant decision or scarce decision? Even if you aren't "there" yet, don't you think that by opting for the former option every time and just moving through life as if you were already there, that it'd not only essentially guarantee that you actually get there, but also simultaneously make you not worry as much about getting there anymore because now the "here" has suddenly turned fun and exciting? What an insane position to be in

This is not some feel good BS. Classic example is when you first enter a happy relationship or marriage and then suddenly you "somehow" become more attractive What's happening is you're subconsciously using the relationship as the "permission slip" to stop being so needy. It completely changes how you move. You can walk into a bar or whatever and just enjoy yourself, other women notice that you're not trying hard to impress and don't care about how you come off, etc You start giving off this relaxed sense of presence in all of your interactions. But note that this is all energy. It's not the physical relationship itself that caused it. Rather it's what the physical relationship means to you, and the feelings about yourself that the meaning creates You don't have to have a girl around your arm to emanate the same abundant energy to the world. In fact the only reason you get the girl in the first place is because you're somehow able to emanate a level of comfort and easygoingness around her as if you already had her or knew she was yours You've experienced that before. How did you do it? How were you able to embody that energy without having "the person" or "the thing" yet to act as proof that you're allowed to embody it? The secret is you can envision that version of yourself in your mind, let the image invigorate you, remove poor conditioned beliefs that are currently blurring that image, and feel and act similarly to that version of yourself today You can tap into the same emotions through "doing" as you would through "having." At the end of the day, reality is just perception, the beliefs that the perception creates, and the actions that the beliefs manifest. How you see yourself is how the world will see you. Fix the self image and everything else naturally follows

You genuinely have to accept that you did the best you could at the time. "If only I didn't screw up" honestly you would've been screwed anyway "I should've sold it, sent it, did it" yeah but there was a reason you didn't. You were a huge idiot but dude you were supposed to be. You've never been in that situation before. You can't expect yourself to operate at a "level 7-10" wisdom with "level 1-3" experience That's exactly how this life thing works. You fuck up, recover, fuck up a little less than before, then recover a little more than before, and you perpetually repeat that cycle until the lessons learned finally match the outcomes achieved Have to put the what if's to rest. Have to give yourself grace. Have to tell yourself that you can't regret something when everything is always meant to happen for your own benefit. Toughest part of being human but promise it will make sense one day. Never throw in the towel before that day comes

The practical answer is you have to start proving to yourself that your intangible traits are worthy of being stoked on You experience some adversity but you're able to take a breath instead of blowing up. You're able to still find an optimistic perspective during a trying time. You compare how you see and handle situations today vs the you from last month, a year ago, etc and realize how much you've improved and continue to improve You find yourself at a party and are able to make people laugh. You're able to make others comfortable enough to confide in you. You give a compliment, strike up a conversation with a stranger, and realize that you're cool and make people smile and contribute positive energy to the world. You give yourself reasons to believe that your personality is one of a kind Etc etc. Regardless of the economy, what title you have, how much you make, these are all aspects about yourself that are fully in your control and can't be taken away from you. These are non fickle assets that serve as the foundation for your confidence. This was always the real you before all the societal conditioning hid it with layers and layers of non ideal beliefs Focus on, value, and give more weight to the real you and you not only become lighter on your feet, but you also move through life in a way that naturally attracts luck, abundance, opportunity, and you eventually get the money, the status, the "stuff" anyway with way less friction

The person most comfortable in their own skin always wins. Guy's wife, kid, etc comes across some luxury travel video, finds out an acquaintance or another parent recently bought a huge house, says something innocent like "omg that's a dream" to him Guy who loves himself naturally responds with lightness. Says that's amazing, I'm so stoked for them, there's so many beautiful things in the world and he genuinely means it. Guy who doesn't will always give off some sort of energetic tell that maybe reveals he's jealous, punctures his confidence, makes a remark like "probably family money" or something etc Indirectly teaches everyone around him how to perceive him. "Through my repeatedly low vibrational reactions I'm signaling to you that my self worth is derived from comparison, so inevitably via osmosis you will start to view life through that same lens as well" Manifestation. Create your own reality. "I'm under so much pressure to meet expectations so they won't think I'm not good enough etc" wrong he turned that belief into the truth on his own and roped others into his field of influence. How he perceives himself is how others will perceive him. Perceive more abundantly, more genuinely, and people have no choice but to follow that lead
Most relationship problems are ultimately just a lust for life problem. Gf/wife unhappy, kids distant, some disconnect with the family etc. You try to solve the discomfort through tangible achievement. Think it's because you're not making enough, providing enough, "successful" enough You need to upsize the house, upgrade the vacations, perform more, show off more. Not realizing that this comparison based expectation you created in your mind and how it subsequently causes you to behave is exactly what's causing the problems in the first place Meanwhile the only problem is just a severe lack of vitality. You're boring and moody and see reality as an obligation and take yourself way too seriously. You're not a beacon of energy, you don't inspire the people around you, you don't inject wonder and curiosity into their lives. There's no adventure, no spontaneity, no presence. You lost their love because you lost the love for yourself

I think there's a significant gap in the market for practical manifestation content. If you try to look this stuff up you'll notice most of it is either hyper for the girlies coded or propagated by some hippie adjacent scaring the hoes enjoyer They might tell you to create a Pinterest board and repeat I am rich in the mirror or whatever but it's basically snake oil if the explanation they give you for doing so is just "visualize and it will come that's uh how the universe frequencies work" Such a life changing concept that has the potential to really hit with the white collar bros if not only introduced in a more logical less woo woo way but also explained by someone who could be more easily seen as "one of us." That being said hi nice to meet you

Here's another manifestation example. Imagine you have exactly 126.5k followers on Twitter or something. It's Wednesday and some guy cold DM's you with a bit about himself and a request to connect But because you get a lot of DM's it's hard to respond to every single one right away. So you ignore it for now and make a mental note to catch up on some of those missed DM's on Sunday when things are less hectic Then Saturday rolls around and you notice another DM come in from that same guy. He says "I know I'm just a small account with probably nothing to offer you" and "sorry if my first message was too long" In your mind you're thinking "no dude you're chill the message was fine I just didn't have time to respond" and then you start typing something to reassure him but end up backspacing it because you get the sense that this guy kind of lacks some self respect and you're not really interested in forming a relationship around that type of dynamic Message doesn't get responded to and guy comes up with the conclusion of "I knew it. Big account would never respond to a guy with 56 followers. These people only care about clout etc" Notice how his interpretation of the why was the complete opposite of yours. Yet both can be considered true There was an alternate reality where he simply had to do nothing after the first message and you would've responded just a few days later. But because of his subjective belief around what "not getting responded to within an arbitrary number of days" meant to him, that was what dictated what his next move was This is what "believing as if" means in manifestation. What if you believed you were the man? That the world would be stoked to know you? That you were already the ideal version of yourself? How would that naturally lead you to behave? What types of actions would you take? How many outcomes can you make real just by believing they were already real and letting your subconscious take care of the rest? Whoever you "want" to be, just embody that person right now. Move like them. Think like them. Be them so the physical reality can just bend to accommodate and align with your internal reality. You have full control over the world that exists in your mind. Everyone is delusional in how they interpret what's in front of them. Every interpretation is "true." So just choose your flavor of delusion
Imagine your parents told you that you had a secret trust fund today. Like they just randomly dropped that info on you out of nowhere. Reason being they've seen you working hard all these years and decided that now was the time to let you in on it You're shocked and try to inquire further about how much is in it and when you can access it etc. But all they say is don't worry. We hope this allows you to take more risk and be less afraid of failure so just keep going Huge sense of relief washes over you. You immediately start moving differently. Way more relaxed, confident, light on your feet. Pursuing goals and ventures without getting caught up in arbitrary timelines or bogged down by what ifs. Luck perpetually graces you. Opportunities effortlessly fall in your lap. Life literally feels like a video game Thinking you have that safety net completely changed your reality. Three years later you've accomplish insane feats. Left the soul sucking job. Built a successful business. Making more money than you know what to do withHere's the thing though. Does the trust fund actually exist? I mean all you were told was that it does. But you never actually saw it Let's even say that your parents faked it and straight up lied to you. Didn't matter. Entire time it was simply a concept that only ever existed in your mind. But note that the belief itself was enough to make it real. The emotions surrounding the belief made it real This is manifestation 101. Only difference is that instead of someone giving you permission to feel abundance, you just have to create that permission yourself. Instead of being led to believe something, create the proof on your own. You've already made it. You're being taken care of. There's no reason to be riddled with anxiety. You can just operate as if, and it would be true Why would that be true? How do you know? Because it exists in your mind. All you have to do is allow what's certain your mind to naturally transform the energy you radiate into the physical reality. You move the same way today as if you were already secure. You take the same actions today as if you already made it. You make things real by assuming they already are

On another note I think most people hear social skills and default to imagining some smooth talker or extroverted life of the party type. Not always the case I know a lot of guys like this who know how to have a good time but they'll also ask you "wait where do you live again?" for the third time. There's still a skill there in being able to make shit happen around you but I see this as a completely different category The real social skill imo is showcased through how good you are at remembering. Being able to retain and reference things that someone shared with you or talked about before. Which is the best way to exemplify to them that you actually care enough to take an active interest in them For ex when someone is like "btw hit that one restaurant you told me about last week" and shares their thoughts or "are you still doing xyz thing from when we caught up last August?" Or they just sprinkle in little details in the convo about random stuff you said in the past Whether with friends or mutuals you're just so willing to find ways to help these people out or add value to their lives on your own accord without expectation of receiving anything back. If someone truly listens to you and makes you realize you're important then it's just like "yeah this guy is real and deserves to have good things happen to him" and you'll naturally want to contribute to their success Extroverted or introverted doesn't matter. Personalities come in all different shapes and sizes. Commonality is presence. Simply talk to people how you want to be talked to (and get better at banter) and you literally become the luckiest human alive you won't even believe how hard it is for you to fail
At the end of the day your only true moat is how comfortable you're able to make others feel in real life. Call it being good with people or having emotional intelligence but it's perpetually the only thing that can never be taken away from you and is forever in your control Life happens and you lose the money and the status and the whatever else you full ported your identity into. Regardless of the adversity you face along the journey you'll always get back on your feet as long as you're able to communicate like an actual human Striking up random conversations with whoever and whenever because it's a completely normal thing to do. Getting out of your head enough to actually listen to and retain and validate what they say. Not having any agenda and fully going with the flow of their trains of thought so they feel valued and important Sure there's levels to it and you can be funnier or wittier or improve the way you riff etc but at a baseline just being chill and refreshing is simply enough to guarantee you'll never fail. For most it's just remembering who you were before all the junk you picked up over the decades People naturally want to reciprocate authentic energy when they feel it. Plant seeds of that energy into the vicinity of anyone you come in contact with and there's just no way it doesn't eventually come back to you in the form of abundant opportunity Getting put onto exciting new career paths, introductions you never expected, even just gifts and favors because it makes them feel good to make you feel good and vice versa. All traced back to your willingness to engage and ability to connect. This is where the confidence in yourself comes from. Have a voice and have a soul. You always make it

Ignorance is a core prerequisite to making it. If you knew all the setbacks you were going to experience along the way there's no shot you'd even try. You have to embark on the journey thinking it's a lock and that the statistics and the horror stories don't apply to you You're human though so inevitably a few months out, couple years later, tuition has to be paid and the cash dries up or the relationship gets real or the Achilles heel unexpectedly appears. But because you couldn't anticipate the timing or the depth of it happening you don't have the luxury to ruminate on the what if's Actual live situation on your hands now so only option is to face it head on. Already came this far which leaves you no choice but to simply push through. Then one day you win and it all kind of felt like a blur and you're shocked that you somehow pulled it off. But you did and you were only able to because you had the balls to believe in something

Massively true plus another key reason to get out is so you can simply remember that you're cool as fuck. You need to be trading laughs and administering daps. Giving people an opportunity to gas you up and vice versa because the fit is too hard and the wit is on another level and the song recs are out of this world. Remind yourself that you've still got it and whatever ruts you're in essentially disappear overnight
The key to happiness - always leave the house. You need to force yourself to get out. (Especially when you don’t want to.) Get dressed and go. WFH was (one of) the worst things to happen to our generation. You gotta go meet people. In real life. Life happens outside the four walls of your apartment. I remember a sober person said to me once “life happens at the bars.” And it’s funny bc it’s true. And even though he didn’t drink, he went out to see music and meet people and talk to the bartenders and the locals. Life happens in cafes and bars and gyms and bookshops and parks and sidewalks and vintage stores. Life happens in the late night talks in the car parked in a sketchy lot somewhere you couldn’t get back to if you tried. It happens on the trails and in the oceans and in taxis and on the subway. Get out. Talk to people. Make friends. Then bring them home. Cook them a nice meal. Play cards. Keep the door unlocked. Come and go as you please.

Who you are is dictated by your internal state. You could go years feeling sorry for yourself and wallowing in self pity. But then you come across some video, read some tweet, partake in some conversation and it simply makes you feel something Maybe a tinge of motivation. A quick surge of inspiration. Even if it locks you in for only a few minutes and all you have to show for it is a brief burst of self belief, in that moment you're a winner. The second you feel that energy, your entire track record of being a loser completely resets Lose the state, not a problem. Simply tap back in. You're immediately a winner again. Start to see your life like this. Eradicate the idea that change has to be some serious ordeal or massive undertaking. Feed your mind with the right thoughts. Then allow your body to feel the effect of those thoughts You suddenly vibrate differently. Perceive what's in front of you differently. Attack life differently. Can just snap your finger and decide to shift into a new timeline instantaneously. Past doesn't matter. Embody the state and you become exactly who you want to be

The core prerequisite of success is to unwaveringly believe that life is always happening for you. If life feels easy, of course it is. You're an optimistic person who tries to leave the world a little better than you found it so why wouldn't that energy be mirrored back at you If life feels hard, what a blessing it is to acknowledge the discomfort in the experience. The crushing rejection, the desire that didn't pan out. It gifted you a surge of anger, an onslaught of sadness, a cocktail of raw emotions to be transmuted into a newfound sense of boldness as you attack the next opportunity Everything is perpetually working out in your favor at any given moment, only you just can't always see it with your own eyes. Sometimes it's in the form of a tangible win, other times it's an intangible force multiplier that takes you on a more scenic path towards the win. Trust that you're exactly where you're meant to be

I posted my net worth trajectory before to show it’s NEVER a straight line. I blew up my finances multiple times. ‘75 - sperm/egg produce a spawn ‘98 - done w/college $0 net worth ‘99 - $25K (got job w W2 job with Terminix. Put all the cash I had in Yahoo, Juniper, Worldcom other tech stocks) ‘00 - $40K ——> $5K (tech bubble) ‘01 - $15K ——-> $3K (9/11 market crash). Told myself I’ll never touch stocks again. ‘02 - $10K (out of stocks, bought condo in Bonita Springs, FL to live in) ‘03 - $25K NW ‘04 - $50K NW (sold condo, made $30K on it, got married, bought small starter house to live in plus a rental prop in South Florida) ‘05 - $70K NW (bought another rental and went ALL in). Thought I was some real estate mogul. ‘06 - $300K (rentals 🚀 , started EBay biz flipping toys) ‘07 - $400K ‘08 - $250K (cracks in real estate market. Values start to drop.) ‘09 - $25K (lost rentals to foreclosure. Had to give banks a check for negotiated amount for DIL) Found out what a 1099-C was. ‘10 - $75K - (Various job promotions, side hustle EBay doing well) ‘11 - $120K ‘12 - $140K ‘13 - $200K - (started buying “dividend” type stocks, but Oil and Gas MLP’s, chasing yield) ‘14 - $150K - (lost $150K in MLP’s, sold with massive carryover loss. eBay —-> Amazon, takes off) ‘15 - $600K (More corporate promotions/stock grants/Amazon crushing it) ‘16 - $1.3 million (W2/Stock grants/Amazon all doing well) ‘17 - $650K - divorce 🤷‍♂️ (1/2 net worth wiped out with stroke of a pen) ‘18 - $800K - Corporate $ & Amazon still chugging along ‘19 - $1.1 mil - Corp good/Amazon doing really well ‘20 - $1.4 mil - Demoted at Corp (20% pay cut/Amazon doing well/bought 1 STR in smokies then Covid hit. Thought “oh crap here we go again…I suck at real estate”. Then it took off. Decided to buy more. Went ALL IN on STR’s in Gatlinburg because I needed to get out of rat race of W2. Met a guy in Pigeon Forge and we started building cabins as well. ‘21 - $3 mil - Still at W2/Amazon huge now/STR’s cranking/Building construction doing well. Quit corporate at year end. Had 2X w2 pay with other ventures. ‘22 - $4 mil - Building development/Land/sold all STR’s (except 1…strike while the iron is hot) for major profit. Bought CAT Machines to clear my own lots/land but it morphed into excavation company. Bought $BTC & $ETH ‘23 - $6 mil. Started going all in on new construction and building indoor pool cabins. Bought lots of land near Gatlinburg. ‘24 - $8 mil. Still building indoor pool cabins and selling at completion. ‘25 - $12 mil. Same playbook. No need to change and reinvent wheel. Build a few cabins per year at $160/sq foot and sell at $350/sq foot. 700 acres in total land bought near Gatlinburg. ‘26 - Between $17-20 mil NW. Sold last two of my new build pool cabins in March. Done with those. Now focusing on building my retreat center. As you can see, I went “All in” multiple times. Most of the times, they blew up in my face, but at the end of the day, you only need ONE to hit. Everyone told me I was crazy to go all in at the Smokies in 2020, but the numbers worked and I jumped in head first, in spite of my 2008 debacle. Had I not got ALL IN that time, my financial picture would look much different today.
Almost every wealthy person I know has blown up at least once. Concentrated bets are why they got rich. Concentrated bets are also why they blew up. Same mechanism. You don't build real wealth spreading thin. You build it going all in on one thing. And that same concentration that creates the upside creates the downside too. So you win big. You think it's a lot because you've never had money before. Then you lose it because you were concentrated. But now you actually know what you're doing. You come back, win bigger, and hedge smarter because you felt what the downside feels like. I've really only lost it all twice and each time was a higher low. Kinda how it works if you're paying attention.
