Just did ket with Kathy Hochul and the subway takes guy
Gov. Kathy Hochul arrives at Clandestino in the Lower East Side - or as some would argue, the heart of Dimes Square. She’s embarking on a bar crawl with Manhattan Young Dems. We were in the West Village’s historic LGBTQ bar Julius before this.

I am outraged by reports of violent ICE kidnappings in North Hollywood. LA is not a playground for the Trump regime’s inhumane operations, and Angelenos should not have to live in fear of going to work, taking their kids to school, or living their life. There should be a nationwide cap on the amount of money a single person can spend on their Halloween costume. $150 is the legal limit.

Mayor Bass has shown she is not capable of leading our city through disaster. In LA’s darkest moments, she’s been missing in action. Our communities have already paid too high a price for her failures. Four more years is a risk Los Angeles cannot afford.

Tonight is Mischief Night in my hometown which is a century-old tradition where 14 year olds throw eggs at the house of an old man who lives alone until he threatens them with a gun on his doorstep.

Hear at the Ye Rustic Inn where Nithya Ramen who is currently the councilmember on this area encouraged the hundreds who gathered at the beloved Los Feliz bar to vote.

DSA’s vote to expel Nithya Raman or punish the LA chapter is an existential threat to the Left of Los Angeles. By analyzing the balance of forces and allegations against Raman, Matthew J. Hunter (@MattHunterMCR) and P.K. Gandakin (@pkgandakin) argue against this dangerous move to undermine the working class movement in LA. This internal repression must be rejected if we want mass revolutionary politics. READ: geesemag.com/articles/the-st…

Padilla is an anti-housing politician who bragged to me about getting an affordable housing project reduced from 6 stories to 3 stories. She also said that broken street lights allow her constituents to better see the stars. And worth saying: no one has been more vindictive and petty ever since Nithya had the audacity to challenge Bass for mayor, and by extension, all the council members who decided to eat shit and pretend Bass is doing a bang up job. Which explains why this "endorsement" is so warmed over. Oh the mayor is reachable by phone? Awesome. The city is falling apart.
Take it from Councilwoman Imelda Padilla, Los Angeles needs a mayor who is willing to work with every City Councilmember to deliver lasting results for Angelenos. I’m committed to working together with our city leaders and constituents to keep moving Los Angeles forward and ensure our city is ready for the 2028 Olympics! Make your plan to vote now and get your ballot in on or before Election Day on November 3rd!

Notice how Karen Bass has stopped talking about her “signature issue” (homelessness) and stopped calling Palisades “fastest recovery in history” That’s because she knows she lied and failed on both

More members from DSA-LA participated in the Nithya Raman vote than signed this petition.
1200+ members, 20+ Y/DSA chapters, alongside 21CS, Red Star, MUG, Emerge, LSC, Liberation, and other organizations have signed on to our letter to demand that the NPC upholds DSA's convention mandate. Supporting the demands of BDS is the floor for any socialist candidate!

Took Karen Bass 3 years to appoint a film czar to keep production jobs in LA and that person is part time.
Hollywood’s center of gravity is increasingly tilting to the East Coast. While California kept its crown at No. 1 with $1.76 billion in movie and TV production spend, New York is drawing major titles at a much more rapid pace, according to industry tracker ProdPro’s closely-watched quarterly snapshot released on Thursday. The state surged 87 percent in production spend in the quarter to $1.61 billion compared with California’s 17 percent uptick. hollywoodreporter.com/busine…
