Vicky Kaushal: I was just on my way to college when the movie “Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai” was released. I absolutely loved it! ♥️ Someone told me that Hrithik Roshan only meets people who know how to dance to “Ek Pal Ka Jeena” 😥 I rehearsed for three whole days, but unfortunately, I never got the chance. Please give me one opportunity! 🙏 Abhishek Bachchan: We're here too, Hrithik bhai! 🥰 Hrithik Roshan: Come on, let's all three dance together! Video creadit: IIFA Awards ♥️

Sunidhi Chauhan x Shillong Chamber Choir harmonising on an unplugged version of her classic Kaisi Paheli Zindagani. Just pure and simple music. And what a joy to be able to sing together. #shillongchamberchoir #scc #sunidhichauhan

We didn’t realize it then. But sleeping throughout on a journey, so that you only wake-up when you reach your destination is such a privilege. People pay top dollar for reclining business class seats on an 8 hr flight. But It was possible on a small budget - due to over-night trains. Beautiful concept. Finish dinner at home. Board the train. Chain your luggage and get rocked to sleep peacefully. Wake up when someone tries to sell you chai the next morning. There is no rush to get down, as it is in flights, People trusting the chain-pullers to stop the train enough number of times in the “outer” so they can finish brushing their teeth & other stuff. The train slowly penetrates into the city, showing its bazaars, its railway crossings, exchanging stares with waiting bikers, that girl in that rickshaw. The train passing by its slums, the 1 BHKs by the railway tracks, you peeking into houses, the steelware arranged in its kitchen, the almirah in the living room, a dish tv on the roof, you imagining their life, their aspirations it’s like a city tour. Vande Bharat sleeper is an invitation to relive it, for the ones who forgot the concept of overnight trains, and took to the airways. Soon :)

In your 20s you realise on a Monday morning, that you wasted your weekend by doing nothing. In your 30s you realise on a Monday morning, that you wasted your weekend by doing random things. Best way to utilise a weekend is to do nothing.

Had a couple of book events in Koramangala yesterday, and when I was going from one to the other, I realised that one of those used bookshops that I love was close. I took that detour and found this Paul Theroux book I immediately wanted. And then, just as I was about to leave, I heard familiar noises. Of ball hitting bat, and some cheering. This was in the first block of Koramangala, in which there is one of those open parks Bangalore has, and this was one of the larger ones. There were two or three teams and a game was on, on a cement pitch set diagonally, so more of the park became a cricket field. I stood and watched. I saw a really good direct hit, a couple of good catches, and a very close finish, well appreciated by the crowd, and some delivery riders on their break. Just outside the park were a couple of tea shops where people were getting chai and snacks to watch what was presumably the next game in the series. I didn't wait for the next game, as I was getting late. But just for a second in the middle of what is now an increasingly unlivable city, I felt good. I saw the magic in the everyday, just people enjoying a game on a Saturday evening. Next to a bookshop, next to a building for startups, next to a local favourite biryani place. For a second, I saw civilization.

Whenever I'm in cafés in SF, Paris or London, I just can't leave my laptop on the table and go to the restroom. I'm sure it won't be there when I'm back. Sometimes I'm even afraid to keep my phone on the table while I'm sitting there. On the other hand, here in Koramangala, HSR or Indiranagar in Bangalore, I leave my laptop and wallet on the table, go for a walk or use the restroom, only to find my things exactly where I left them. Some places back home are much safer and more trustworthy.
