there's a huge disconnect from the OCE region with the 5E / Perfect World platform and news. 0 teams joining an OCE open qualifier is a clear issue with communication (what points of contact are there + those sites are primarily in Chinese). This is a VRS related tournament and Blast qualifier too. ❓❔?

Was looking last night for any information but found nothing, asked one of the Liquipedia contacts earlier today and he forwarded me this announcement: “大洋洲赛区说明 由于本次大洋洲赛区报名开启时间较早，多支队伍未能在时限内完成报名，导致海选阶段名额空缺。 为保证赛事结构完整，我们将依据2月2日的亚洲区积分排名顺延邀请1支队伍加入正赛，使本次亚洲预选赛的直邀队伍达到5支，直邀名单将于明日公布。” roughly translates to: "Oceania Division Description Due to the early start of registration for the Oceania region, many teams failed to complete registration within the time limit, resulting in vacancies in the auditions. To ensure the integrity of the event structure, we will extend the invitation of one team to join the main competition based on the Asian region points ranking on February 2, bringing the number of directly invited teams in this Asian qualifiers to 5. The direct invitation list will be announced tomorrow" No OCE teams participated during the registration period, so they cancelled the OCE OQ. Ive finally recovered from LAN, man what an epic weekend of Counter Strike for the region here in OCE. Hats off to everyone who put their hand up to help set up and run the event. It’s great to see such passion in the scene as we come into 2026 with some big plans on the horizon. We still have a lot of work to do to iron out some of the tech issues in the studio, but with every event we improve and go again. Truely grateful for the team we have at @dfragtv, the players and the community. Congrats to @Mindfreak on taking home the W but also 6 out of the 8 teams taking home some VRS points. With all that being said, DFRAG needs your support more than ever! We just launched subs on the website, go and check it out. Spanning over 6 months.
