Great news! Texas Children’s Hospital has officially launched its detransition clinic, offering free services for five years.
Following a settlement with the DOJ and Texas AG’s Office, Texas continues to lead the way in protecting children 👏
Texas Children’s Hospital has officially launched its detransition clinic, which will be the first of its kind in the country. ‼️
The clinic is part of a settlement reached earlier this year with the Department of Justice and Texas AG Ken Paxton, after the hospital was accused of submitting false billings to cover sex-change procedures.
Under the deal, Texas Children’s paid $10 million and is barred from performing gender-transition procedures on minors.
The clinic’s new website lists services including endocrinology, surgery, primary care, fertility counseling, psychiatry, psychology, social work, and speech pathology. All of these services are provided free of charge for five years.
Detransitioners deserve these supports. ❤️🩹
They need hope and healing after the harm done to them under the guise of "gender affirming care."
May this new detransitioner clinic be that place and inspire more to follow. ⭐️
