I have been suspended from Cornell University alongside three others for my presence in our encampment. Cornell thinks that picking off four students will be sufficient to destroy our movement. They’re wrong — all they have done is enraged our community.

It is so, so refreshing to hear a democrat point out clearly that there is nothing popular, appealing or american about christian nationalism. It’s really that easy to refuse to bend to these motherfuckers without alienating the masses, who do not in fact want an ethnostate
This is Tommy. Tommy had a question about my allegiances. Listen to the end to hear about his.

here’s a photo of both “definitely the midwest” and “definitely not the midwest” (cincy/kentucky). borders are an oppressive construct that don’t explain anything. buffalo and pittsburgh have midwestern vibes and are distinct from the big states they’re a part of
This is a very fair ranking of Midwestern states.

Zohran you have the opportunity to arrange the greatest trade deal in the history of trade deals
As “Winnie-the-Pooh” turns 100, Britain is renewing calls for the original stuffed bear and his friends to return from the New York Public Library. The library has resisted requests, citing the toys’ age and popularity. Oh, bother! wapo.st/4im74oZ
Community note
The Winnie-the-Pooh toys were sent to the US in 1947 with permission from A.A. Milne and Christopher Robin and donated to the New York Public Library in 1987 by the publisher. They were never in any British museum and Britain has no legal claim. telegraph.co.uk/books/non-fict… townandcountrymag.com/leisure/arts-a… smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/the…

When we got suspended from Cornell for our peaceful, anti-genocide encampment, Cornell admin threatened to attach a permanent notice to our transcripts about the suspensions. Cornell chose to protect this rapist, and chose not to notify or warn NSU about him.
New: One of the Cornell students accused of gang rape transferred to a Florida university. The university says it was unaware of the allegations when it admitted him, raising questions about what disciplinary info follows students between colleges. shorturl.at/pTyCC

honestly think this is one of the best tweets ever written
There's an old saying in Schelling—I know it's in Hegel, probably in Schelling—that all great world-historic facts and personages appear, so to speak, twice. He forgot to add: the first time as... as... tragedy... the second time as... as... it's funny if it happens again

This just brings Cornell into compliance with a local law passed last week. This administration is embracing the same task forces, education initiatives, and half-measures that failed Jane Doe in 2024. Ban the frats. Fire Kotlikoff, Liang, and other responsible leaders.
Breaking News: Cornell banned parties at fraternity houses for the rest of the academic year in response to Jane Doe’s 2024 rape allegations. nyti.ms/4ii5EMa

I just checked and they accidentally spent double digit figures on anti Troy Jackson ads running exclusively in OREGON. This is not a joke, I have the receipts.
I’ve gotten 5 anti-Troy Jackson ads in the last 24 hours. I choose to believe they mixed up Portlands.

i guess digger is a leftist movie in the sense that it is self-important, full of contempt for its audience, and very proud of how smart it is without knowing much or having anything to say

This is the equivalent of a cultural genocide. The O’odham people view saguaros as embodied ancestors. DHS is plowing down thousands of them to build a border wall on sovereign O’odham land.
⚠️ Border wall contractors to remove thousands of sacred saguaros (ha:ṣañ) on sovereign O'odham land starting Monday — Indigenous People's Day.

Via @_ericblanc: Shawn Fain and his left-wing slate won decisively in UAW elections. So much for the easy narrative of progressive grad students and conservative autoworkers. Everyone wants the language of class and a fighting union.

Two federal agents are going door to door near the crime scene “trying to get evidence.” Darializa Avila Chevalier and state Sen. Gustavo Rivera are following them to tell people they don’t have to answer or speak with the agents.
