🧠 New in Aperture Neuro:
NeuroFLAME Vaults connects public neuroimaging datasets with private data stored locally, enabling decentralized analyses across sites without sharing sensitive raw data.

Can we map fast neural communication when fMRI scanners sample 20x too slowly?
@Sajad_abv bridges theory & messy clinical data to recover directed brain networks under temporal undersampling in schizophrenia patients and controls.
Correlation says two brain networks are linked. It can't say which one is driving.
New preprint: modeling how slowly fMRI samples the brain recovers the direction — and several times more of what separates schizophrenia patients from controls.

Join our 22nd event on Sep 25. We're pleased to welcome Dr Souvik Phadikar from @vdcalhoun team at @CenterTrends to introduce his work on "Group Joint ICA (gjICA): Fusing Concurrent EEG and fMRI". Scan QR code to join for free!
I’m excited to share that I successfully defended my Ph.D. dissertation at Georgia Tech: “The Hidden Structure of Deep Models: Discovering and Exploiting Sparse Subnetworks.”
I’m deeply grateful to my advisors, @vdcalhoun and @PlisSergey , and my committee members, Dr. David Anderson, Dr. Li Xiong, Dr. Mani Malek, and Dr. Irfan Essa, as well as my collaborators, colleagues, friends, and family for their guidance and support throughout this journey.
Excited for the next chapter. 🎓

If you take deep learning at face value, you should have seen our invited speaker from Google DeepMind present his prior work at @CenterTrends last Friday.
Congratulations, Dr. Ohib @OhibRiyasat! Well done!
Thanks again to our wonderful speakers @vdcalhoun, @Divyanganar and @AFornito for presenting at our symposium “Optimizing you training: What’s Worth Your Time and What’s not?”
If you missed the session, please look forward to the recording being available online!
The next edition of the IEEE Machine Learning for Signal Processing (MLSP) Workshop will take place in Atlanta, USA, from September 28 to October 1, 2026! 🤩
Take a look at the website for further information and deadlines: mlsp26.ieeesps.org/
See you soon Atlanta! 🚀
