While everyone is building with AI, building with people could be your real moat.

5 copywriters worth studying: • David Ogilvy • Gary Halbert • Eugene Schwartz • Joe Sugarman • Gary Bencivenga Don’t just read their famous ads. Study how they create curiosity, build desire, introduce proof and move the reader toward action.

So cool product and so boring presentation. Feels like a startup pitch competition somewhere in Bratislava. “It’s a cool product, trust me bro, my mom liked it very much”

Just scrolled through my feed on LinkedIn for the first time in the last few months. Feels so outdated. And because of that so calm and low stress - I’ve already seen all that on X months ago.

It would so amazing if you could search through the posts that you’ve recently seen on X. @elonmusk who should I tag to make this happen?

We’re in the loop where only revenue matters and no one cares about the common good anymore. If we continue in that direction, I’m convinced that we’re cooked as humanity.

Wow! You've took this trend to the whole new level!
I'm selling my body. On September 19th, I'm competing in my first HYROX race in Turkey. You can advertise your startup on 10 of my muscles: - Your website is listed on hyrox.marclou.com - Your logo will be tattooed on my body on race day - I'll share it on my YouTube and X accounts Bidding starts at $1,000. Each takeover doubles the price: $1,000 → $2,000 → $4,000. If outbid, you’re refunded minus the Stripe fee. Bidding closes on Thursday the 10th at midnight UTC (in 2 days), so I have enough time to print the winning tattoos. → Sponsor my body: hyrox.marclou.com

Being a marketer is a high-risk job and that's why I think they should be payed more then engineers. When you're building something as engineer - you have predictable outcomes. You put efforts in and get results out at approximately 1:1 ratio. With marketing it's completely different. You can go all-in and you still might get near nothing.

Is this a joke?
We have designated ChatGPT as a Very Large Online Search Engine and Reddit and Roblox as Very Large Online Platforms under the Digital Services Act. They now have four months to comply with additional DSA obligations. More: link.europa.eu/8bmk3M #DSA

Same math applies to all email marketing providers which feels wrong.
I love @beehiiv but the pricing is so aggressive. It scales with my newsletter growth but doesn't deliver more value as I pay more. It just feels like I'm getting taxed for growing.

“Ideas worth nothing, execution is everything” is a total bullshit.

What meta did with their tribe v2 model is kind of insane. Basically they’ve reverse engineered human brain to hack attention mechanism and then open sourced this model.
Zuck never mentions it because he knows the great engineers want to work at a space/search/ai company… Not an advertising company.

User attention is the most important recourse and it’s very painful to loose it with wrong messages. Right message for the right audience is your biggest leverage in marketing.

I don’t know why, but most entrepreneurs I meet recently who make +$100k/month are either in gambling or dating niches. Almost none conventional tech niches. Why?

That is very true. Fast response time is a sign of respect and responsibility. I also try to keep it under 10 min in messengers and emails, but fail on X or other social media apps.
all most important people i know respond within 10 minutes, and i respond within 48 hours that's how i know im not important yet

So that's not a joke openai is coming for all of us, and we're funding their way to steal our dreams
Replying to @flowersslop
openai will target anything with a big market, so if you want to build anything big you'll have to go versus them and i think what you're missing is that with a startup you can choose who to work with and you'll be fully responsible for all outcomes which makes work joyful

The software shift is happening We’re moving away from commoditised products (monthly subscriptions, licenses, key) And into a world where software is content. Fun little games, slap your Mac to make it groan, etc. You follow this path to its natural progression and you start to realise software is just going to be another form of content. That funny meme becomes a game everyone plays for a few days. That geopolitical event everyone is talking about? Oh yeah, jump on the MMRPG world and play it out. And then you start to realise it’s just another attention economy. Where sponsorship in the current big meme game is the move. Distribution: virality Monetization: in-game sponsorship App store moves too slow for approvals. It’s gotta be all on web. Accessible to everyone. Playable on mobile. Instantly loads.
