Grateful to @deepseek_ai for releasing DeepInfer, initially built primarily on @vllm_project, under Apache 2.0 and crediting the open-source community! We've worked hard on DeepSeek V4.1 Flash inference efficiency and will keep improving with ideas from DeepInfer! Stay tuned 🙌
🚀 Introducing DeepInfer, our in-house inference framework, now fully open source! Powering DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash at scale with high throughput and low latency. We’re sharing our production stack to help the community lower compute costs, reduce energy use, and make AI more affordable. 🔗 github.com/deepseek-ai/DeepI… 1/4

⚡️ Solid work from the Physis-AI Infra team. Together with Physis-AI, we’re introducing PhysisServe. PhysisServe advances autoregressive denoising serving via fine-grained stage pipelining, time-sharing and multi-stream joint scheduling, optimizing both single-stream output latency and multi-stream system efficiency in one inference system. PhysisServe’s core techniques are coming to vLLM-Omni, and our teams are working closely together to make it happen. Congrats on a strong debut. Excited for what we’ll build together! 👏
👋 Hello, X. We’re Physis. AI’s next frontier is the physical world. We’re building a general-purpose world foundation model—one that can accumulate and reuse experience across scenarios to understand, predict, and act. 🎯 Our goal is general physical intelligence, with applications across embodied AI, industrial simulation, and scientific prediction. This brings us to a foundational question: 🤔How can we build a foundation for physical intelligence that accumulates and reuses experience across scenarios—and understands, predicts, and influences the real world at the speed and accuracy each task requires? Over the coming months, we’ll share our thinking, models, and systems as we work toward this goal. Today, we begin with infrastructure. ✨ Together with vLLM, we’re introducing PhysisServe. Born at UC Berkeley’s Sky Computing Lab, vLLM now powers inference on an estimated 500,000 GPUs worldwide at any given time. Together, we’re advancing efficient, scalable serving for the next frontier: physical AI. Three core designs make this possible: • Stage-wise pipelining across denoising steps and Transformer blocks. • Time-sharing and batching to improve GPU utilization. • Virtual ranks and joint scheduling to share resources across streams. 📊 To explore how world action models (WAMs) and action-conditioned world models (ACWMs) can sustain higher output rates as they scale, we benchmark PhysisServe on five backbones, including MiniMax H3 33B. On 200 GPUs, this 33B backbone delivers a chunk every 4.083 ms—about 245 chunks/s.* The figure below shows how additional compute enables higher sustained output rates across model sizes. *DiT denoising only; excludes VAE decoding. Output interval is not end-to-end response latency. 👉 Read our first blog post on infra: physis-ai.com/blog/physisser… 👉 Explore the code: github.com/Physis-AI/PhysisS…

Speculators v0.9.0 is out — faster, lighter speculative decoding training 📷 Up to 2x faster forward training passes with a fused loss kernel, plus an FP8 hidden-state backend that cuts storage 50% with no quality loss. Train better speculators, serve them in vLLM. Great work @RedHat_AI 📷
Speculators v0.9.0 is out. Training got faster and lighter: a fused loss kernel gives up to 2x faster forward training passes on small (~1B) models, and an FP8 hidden-state backend cuts storage 50% while keeping speculator quality. Full notes: github.com/vllm-project/spec…

Long-context serving and speculative decoding, optimized together. • Indexer DCP partitions context across GPUs and exchanges local top-16 candidates over NVLink: up to 3.3× faster indexer execution per sparse layer at 512K on 4× GB300. • Fused QKV projection, norm, RoPE and KV insertion remove an HBM round trip: ~19% lower p50 TTFT on GB300 at TP4. • DSpark uses FlashInfer PrimiTS for draft attention: 1.3–2× faster than FlashAttention 4, with 5% lower overall forward time in the reported comparison. These are separate measurements, not additive gains. Inside the serving stack: sparse attention and native low precision. MiniMax block sparse attention uses NVFP4 attention and indexer KV. vLLM’s Blackwell MSA kernels convert NVFP4 KV directly to FP8 with CUDA 13.4’s QMUL4 instruction, avoiding the previous FP16 round trip. Result: up to 1.7× faster indexer QK decode and 1.3× faster sparse-attention decode at the kernel level. NVFP4 MegaMoE also fuses the MXFP8 shared-expert path; earlier TMEM release reduces prefill kernel latency by 20% in the reported settings. 4/5

Visual reasoning, creation and professional analysis. MiniMax M3.1 Flash scores 91.0 on BabyVision with tools and 82.5 on CharXiv RQ, alongside polished frontend and presentation creation. Knowledge and reasoning results: 56% on AA-Omniscience, 48% on HLE and 22.3% on CritPt. BankerToolBench reaches 76.15—the highest score in MiniMax’s internal comparison. From interpreting charts to building interfaces and working through scientific questions, the model covers more than coding alone. 3/5

From co-work automation to software engineering. Benchmark highlights: • 72.5% on AutomationBench-AA, leading open models in its launch comparison. • 73.67% on DeepSWE, covering real-codebase understanding, bug fixes and feature development. Built for workflows that require more than a single response: plan the work, use tools and carry the task through. 2/5

Fresh vLLM containers can recompile thousands of Python files at startup. One build flag moves that work to image build time: 14–18% less startup time (~18 s) in my H100 benchmarks. Already in the CUDA nightly; official release images from v0.32.0. vllm.ai/blog/2026-09-22-pyth…

Great work from @XunzhuoLiu and the vLLM Semantic Router team on D3. All six models, from 0.6B to 27B, now have merged vLLM recipes! D3 ranked #1 on both Jev Decision Index 0.3.2 boards: 66.3 text and 71.3 vision (Oct. 12 snapshot). Run multimodal decisions on your own infrastructure through /v1/systemone—with control over data residency, latency budgets and governance. vLLM serves decision models too: the full D3 family, Clef-Flash, Clef-Omni and Liquid d1, through the System One API. D3 returns choices, yes/no answers and scores with probabilities over text, JSON, images and videos. Useful for routing, classification and scoring without generating a long response. In the recipe benchmark, D3 27B delivers 1.8× the requests/sec of its checkpoint server on 1× MI325X at 64 concurrent clients, using the same mixed workload. Cold start, meet build time. 📷 Shipping precompiled Python bytecode in our images cuts vLLM startup by 14–18% (~18s on H100) — one uv flag at build time, zero recompiles at launch. Already in CUDA nightlies, official release images from v0.32.0. Great work @nilsmatteson 📷

Getting there meant removing stragglers at every layer of the stack. A quick look at some of the optimizations: - GPU: wide-EP with efficient EPLB keeps expert load balanced, so no single GPU holds the batch back. - CPU: an optimized CPU all-reduce removes CPU stragglers as DEP scales out. - Frontend: NVIDIA Dynamo + Sidecar on vLLM's native Rust frontend takes Python output processing off the critical path and enables KV-aware routing. More to come so stay tuned! 🚀
