Internet users have raised over $120,000 for the Red Baron worker who went viral after an influencer started harassing him. The man has been identified as ‘Walt Z’ from Michigan and he is thankful for the support. “Walt Z out of Michigan sends a heartfelt thankyou, and is absolutely blown away by how much people have cared over this,” the GoFundMe organizer said. “They are requesting privacy, and GoFundMe is taking the lead in transferring all of this to him. You're all Rockstars, and it shows.” Glad to see this man is being taken care of. GoFundMe link is below.

Virtue is a reward or benefit in and of itself, but it also is the way to the kingdom. So it’s health-giving, the way, and an anticipation of the excellence of heaven.

But that means practicing kindness, for instance, is how the Spirit heals us, guides us on the way, and we thereby live by the Spirit.

It is in the nature of love to bind together. That is why love builds up. It lays interlocking foundations for the edifice. By uniting around common objects of love, we therefore create a “we” and not merely an “I” movement.

Compassion obviously benefits others, but we do not always recognize that as a habit of the heart, compassion makes us happier. It saves us from bitterness, passions of the flesh, and wounds of the heart.

When the mind is not dissipated upon extraneous things, nor diffused over the world about us through the senses, it withdraws within itself, and of its own accord ascends to the contemplation of God. – Basil of Caesarea

As a habit of the heart, it is good to experience compassion for those who suffer due to injustice; it is also right to have mercy upon those who suffer due to their own justice. 1/

We may not be in a position of power to exercise clemency, but a heart trained by mercy and compassion will protect us against bitterness and other maladies of the soul. 2/2

British Columbia is central to building a more prosperous Canada. This afternoon, Premier-designate @LDoerkson and I discussed how we can seize major economic opportunities across the province, build out infrastructure, and unlock our full potential as an energy superpower. Building British Columbia and Canada strong, for all.

This is the canary in the coal mine, y'all. The AI math doesn't math. Microsoft is offering buyouts for nearly a quarter of it's workforce. AI adoption for businesses is a 24-month journey in a perfect scenario. They aren't seeing adoption fast enough to offset their CapEx spending... and they aren't alone. Add Anthropic's measly revenue numbers (compared to their CapEx), and hopefully you get the point. These aren't buyouts because Microsoft found efficiencies with AI, they are buyouts because they (the AI industry) spend trillions (collectively) building the best tools the world has ever seen, and no one knows how to use them. digitalmeld.io/blog/who-is-p…
BREAKING: Microsoft, $MSFT, is offering buyouts to 60,000 workers as part of the company’s efforts to cut costs amid AI adoption, per Bloomberg. Personnel on select teams in the US, Canada, India, and the UK at a vice president level and below will be eligible. This reflects ~27% of Microsoft's total workforce.

I saw both of these speeches live, and it was disappointing to see how the Green Party spoke about other British Columbians. More than ever, we need to work together.
