This is a golden age of children's literature. There are books being published today that will shape the minds of generations; life-changing books whose readers will change the world. There really is a book for EVERYONE now - if we can just help every reader find those books!

This is a great list of reading questions.
Each week, our Year 5/6 Reading Buddies go and read empathy-rich picturebooks and talk about empathy with pupils in EYFS and KS1. Between them, they've created a bank of 20 questions to use as a starting point. Please feel free to download from my Padlet.

Honestly @PieCorbett’s talk for writing, mixed with #colourfulsemantics is saving my class in terms of writing.
You CANNOT write a sentence until you’ve heard it in your head. You need to compose it. We all do it, every day. Children need to be taught it. #oracymatters

No. 16 in my #FavePicturebooks25: “Astro” by #ManuelMarsol.
A surreal space tale of friendship, loss, and wonder—psychedelic art meets cosmic questions. Achingly beautiful and deeply human. A true wonder that remains long after you close the book #PicturebookPage
