Ever wondered why we don't have private voting in DAOs? Join MACI team, along with folks from @ShutterNetwork, @vocdoni , @EnclaveE3, @anticapture and @ENS_DAO to discuss what's holding adoption back!
X Space in 5 hours! 13:00 UTC Join the discussion on this contradiction: if everyone says they love private voting, why haven't more DAOs adopted it? Welcome all! Joining @bezzenberger @john_guilding @jordipainan @auryn_macmillan @alextnetto @5pence_eth nitter.siddz.com/i/spaces/1yoKMPwrVVlxQ

Join the MACI team, @ShutterNetwork, @vocdoni, and others on 11th Feb for a discussion on the adoption of private voting in DAOs, and what's holding us back!
It's interesting how many say they love the idea of private voting in DAOs, yet most DAOs still haven't adopted it So what's the holdup, really?🤷‍♂️ Join the open X Space and bring your unfiltered take with @zkMACI, @vocdoni, @ShutterNetwork & others nitter.siddz.com/i/spaces/1yoKMPwrVVlxQ…

Gitcoin Privacy Round by @zkMACI For the Privacy Round, users had to verify their humanity by earning a passing Unique Humanity Score and minting it onchain to Arbitrum.
GG24 Privacy Domain secured with @zkMACI + Human Passport 🛡️ We're teaming up with Minimal Anti-Collusion Infrastructure (MACI) for private, Sybil-resistant voting Humans only beyond this point ✋ About the round ↓

Highlights from the gg24 privacy round retrospective ✨ Adding my own notes below on how it went:
trends in @gitcoin gg24 privacy funding - privacy funding remains structurally hard: vc misalignment, regulatory chill, and public goods dynamics dominate - qf works for discovery across dapps, infra, education, and research, but total capital is still thin - privacy dapps and infra drew the most participation, especially identity, voting, transfers, and comms - research is everywhere but rarely standalone, pure research struggles to surface - private voting (maci) changed behavior: less bandwagoning, more independent judgment - sybil resistance worked, but large communities can still coordinate outcomes - biggest gap is not ideas, but sustained matching capital and earlier fundraising - opportunity ahead: fund privacy as long-term public infrastructure, not episodic rounds thx @john_guilding for this excellent retro! gov.gitcoin.co/t/gg24-privac…

SIV also made available their anti-coercion tools for voters in this election, which was designed alongside the MACI team earlier in the year. blog.siv.org/2025/08/overrid…
Congrats to the siv.org team on running this vote. This is likely the first time an American elected office has been decided in a majority-digital vote, open to all registered voters. Some highlights from the SIV team:

As far as I know, the election we just ran is the first time an American elected office has been decided in a majority-digital vote, open to all registered voters, despite party affiliation. Results were just announced: utahnewsdispatch.com/2025/12… Interesting highlights ⬇️

- Used Approval Voting—"Vote for *all* the options you approve of"—a spoiler-free, non-polarizing voting method. This is a historic first, as its the first time this method has been used to elect a state-level American government office.

💻 Programmability/generality—think of this like the “the Circom of governance”. The idea is that you could take something like this governance mechanism idea, write it as code, and a compiler outputs a private, secure, coercion resistant implementation.
