This is one great post man. I love it
Everyone will tell you SMTP on @Cloudflare Workers is impossible. I tried anyway. Now it sends our transactional emails in production, at scale. Get the completely free and OSS tool too. The trick? Queues + Workflows + retries. No servers. 🧵👇

I moved to Canada in September last year. By December, I had built the Canadian version of TrueSaver, @truesaver_net our ajo app that automates group savings end-to-end in CAD with all the necessary compliance and regulatory setups in place. The first roadblock? Automating payment inflows and outflows. With some creative thinking, we solved the inflow side. The bigger goal was integrating INTERAC through one of its partner banks. INTERAC is to Canada what NIBSS is to Nigeria. It is similar to how fintechs in Nigeria integrate NIBSS through banks to provide Naira wallets. I researched, sent emails, and spoke with several partners and third-party providers. It was difficult. Banks usually prefer businesses with significant volume and the ability to absorb integration costs. But I kept going. Fast forward to today: our Canadian community is still small, but something interesting happened. I focused on distribution instead. I started making skits about the value of saving and consistently sharing them across our social channels, including LinkedIn. Recently, one of the partner banks reached out after seeing my content on LinkedIn. I’m sharing this to encourage anyone building, especially against all odds: keep building, keep sharing your work, and keep putting your values out there. Time has a way of revealing what is viable. I do not know exactly what the future holds, but I know where I am headed.

With speed limits in several places these days, that speed at that time can mostly be done on a race track! Some will be jailed for accidents.

Stop wasting money on SMS notifications. Use a Telegram Bot for your messaging instead. It’s free. The trick is getting your users to opt in. Don’t make Telegram onboarding feel like an extra step. Build a reason for users to connect. For example, if users sign up with their email and phone number, you can allow them into your product without verifying their phone number immediately. Then, identify a valuable feature or important moment in your product that requires verification. Maybe it’s accessing a key feature, receiving important updates, or getting reminders they actually care about. Now you have a reason to say: “Verify your phone number and connect your Telegram account to unlock this.” Once users opt in and start your Telegram Bot, you can send them notifications, reminders, and updates directly through Telegram without paying per SMS. The key is simple: Don’t force users to opt in. Create enough value that they want to. Once you figure that out, you can move a significant part of your notification system from expensive SMS to Telegram.

I once wrote this code in @sqlalchemy migration for a @PalletsTeam Flask and it brought several lines of codes, I mean many lines, I didn't count it back then, to just one line of code. And I hadn't optimised the query back then. This was just the first trial with @PostgreSQL
