Refuse to guess. Demand the best. Motorized resistance for practitioners who maximize every rep to drive performance | 📍Texas 📍Sweden

Made in Sweden, global reach
As most sports are played on one leg, training should reflect that The 1080 Squat takes single leg work further: precise and quantified loading on movements more specific to an athlete’s sport Here are 3 single leg exercises on the 1080 Squat: 1️⃣ Reverse Lunge. Combined with isokinetic resistance for true max force work 2️⃣ RFESS. Attached via handle in this example, giving variety within a simple movement 3️⃣ Lateral Lunge. Working in the frontal plane Because the more specific the loading, the more specific the adaptation Place your pre-order today 👌

In return-to-play, heavy isn’t the opposite of fast It’s where you start to get fast @CoachKSammons of the @AZCardinals on how he rebuilds speed both linearly and laterally: 1️⃣ Start heavy and slow. The load slows the athlete down, which keeps joint velocities down while still being in sprinting positions 2️⃣ Learn to push. At low speeds, the athlete can push and feel how to make force in those positions 3️⃣ Peel back the load. As resistance comes down over time, speed goes up Because when there's a plan with progression, getting back to full speed is a process you control

Join us for an Academy Live with Jesse Green as we take a deep-dive into the science and application of variable loading Variable loading means the resistance changes mid-rep, shifting from one load to another as the athlete approaches a target speed It's one of the most unique things motorized resistance can do that no other training method can In this session, we’ll break down what variable loading is, how it works, and how to apply it with your athletes 🗓️ Date: Thursday, November 5th at 12PM CST / 1900 CET Registration 👇👇

Shoulder care deserves the same programming principles as any other quality. That means a progression of intensity and challenge, not just adding more reps Diwesh Poudyal of @ChampionPTP on building rotator cuff capacity: eccentric overload as the bridge between traditional rep work to max effort isokinetic training One builds the foundation, the other raises the ceiling, and the data tells you where the athlete actually is throughout the whole process And the best part is, you can do this all on the same machine. Acceleration isn’t just the first phase of linear speed, it’s the foundation for everything that follows Here's @JakeSportsPerf on why acceleration training is power training, why a short-to-long approach starts there by design, and the benefits it has for the rest of the program Because with the right tools you can actually know if you’re developing horizontal power and how it's improving over time Full episode on Between 2 Sprints available on 👇👇

Lateral deceleration is one of the most sport-specific demands there is, but it's also been one of the hardest to target precisely Here we’re using assisted load (toward the 1080 Sprint 2) to provide the overload and the motor to dial it in to the 0.1 kg Smooth, precise, and repeatable. No bands or guessing 🎥 Filming with Sondre Nysether at Idrettens Helsesenter in 🇳🇴📍Norway

You’re either safe or out in your first three steps ⚾🤔 How important they are should be reflected in how much you train them Ty Webb of @PurdueBaseball shares why he spends so much time developing each step individually before putting it all together. A great first step doesn’t guarantee a great second, and you can't have a great third without a great first two before it Resisted half kneeling starts are one of his favorite ways to work on that Take the time to build the foundation then go steal some bases

Speed development doesn’t have to be complicated, it needs to be intentional @CoachPhillis, Director of Strength and Conditioning at @BYUfootball, spoke at our booth at CSCCa 2025: how he profiles and individualizes speed work, coordinates it with what’s happening on the field, and uses the data to make sure the training is actually doing what it’s supposed to Because when a plan is thoughtful and executed at a high level, good things happen

Max strength is a KPI for most athletes, including at the NHL Combine. Isokinetics are the most accurate way to test it Set the concentric speed limit, push as hard as possible, and the average force is the number. No external load, just a motor that pushes back exactly as hard as you push into it The NHL Combine wanted exactly that: a max lower body strength test without putting a barbell on an athlete’s back. That need eventually led to the 1080 Squat, and now it's both a training and testing tool Here’s our own Adam Rolf sharing the story

Last weekend in ⚾📍 Dunedin, Florida A big thank you to all the 1080 clients who made the trip out to the Blue Jays Player Development Complex for the 1080 Baseball Performance Clinic. We appreciate the Blue Jays for being great hosts as well Ty Webb, Diwesh Poudyal, and Adam Rolf brought the knowledge. They covered speed development, shoulder strengthening, rotation, and the 1080 Squat. All leading to great discussions about where baseball development is headed The baseball world is becoming more precise, measured, and intentional, plus taking the fundamentals to a whole new level. It was a great room to be in See you at the next one 👊

Load isn't just for training, it’s just as useful for warm-ups and specific prep @TrayvonBromell with @MichaelFordBU at the @WorldAthletics Ultimate Championship in 🇭🇺📍 Budapest: resisted high knee drills and short resisted sprints before the meet Because the same stimulus that develops a quality can be used to prime it before competition

Fast off-ice doesn’t automatically mean fast on-ice. Because specific results require specific training @ForceByFrey of @GVNPerformance working on-ice with Brooke Hobson during her PWHL off-season: resisted skating with real-time feedback, comparing rep to rep, and driving intent If the training isn't specific, measurable, and improving over time, you're just hoping

Traditional lower body strength training builds a great foundation. But like all training modalities, no one thing does everything Often what’s missing is a fast eccentric, a rotational demand, and coordination under load, especially in a sport like hockey Paul Valukas (Wisconsin Women’s Hockey) shares his rotational split squat with the 3D strap: eccentric overload on the 1080 Quantum, cued fast on the way down, with a rotational component that challenges the glutes and the whole body together Because motorized resistance adds to a program that’s already working

Every coach knows deceleration and creating separation matters. Most just haven’t had a simple way to test and train it Now you can test it, overload it, and track it over time The ADA Test is simply a max effort sprint into a full stop. From the data, you can identify where the weak link is, which variable to manipulate in training, and progressively develop deceleration the same way you would any other quality Because when you can quantify it, you can actually improve it Full how-to guide 👇👇

There's more to top speed sprinting than just hitting high speeds @RobPanisset, Physical Preparation Coach at Montpellier Hérault Rugby in 📍France, uses assisted sprinting (being pulled by the 1080 Sprint 2 at sub-max speeds) to expose his athletes to high velocity starting in early pre-season The benefits: 1️⃣ Building confidence and getting comfortable running at high speeds 2️⃣ Building capacity sprinting at +90% max velocity Both matter, but the only way you can get there is consistent and repeatable exposure to those speeds
