Accurate take for this analogy me think.. I hope I one of the quiet builders! Cuz those kids are the ones that survive and then thrive years later....worked for me that way in life...no one gave a damn about me then. They still don't, but my life is stellar compared to them now..
Most of you aren’t gonna read this, and that’s fine. Stay dumb.
Crypto is a K–12 school with no principal, no teachers, no fucking rules, and a bell that never rings.
Just one endless recess where the same kids fight over the same shit and somehow think they’re getting an education.
You’ve got kindergarteners with no hair on their bodies putting shiny things in their mouths and high schoolers who can actually build, draw, code, and trade.
Some are brilliant, others got rich once and have been confusing that with intelligence ever since.
Every grade has popular kids, outcasts, bullies, and the quiet ones doing the actual work.
Unfortunately, the ones doing the work are often broke because they haven’t figured out how to extract money from everybody else.
Then you’ve got the cabals. Developers, artists, traders, influencers, some just friends, others little fucking mafias deciding who gets promoted, buried, or invited to the lunch table.
Not everybody is a piece of shit, but enough of them are that the whole school smells like the same three lockers.
X is the main hallway. Millions touch crypto, but so much of the money, drama, and reputation gets pushed through one corridor full of engagement farmers, status chasers, and people screaming for attention.
Rug pullers steal everyone’s lunch money and transfer schools.
Six months later they’re back with a new backpack and the same fucking friends.
People fake their deaths, disappear, get exposed, and return with a sob story expecting a welcome-home party.
Failed projects go to summer school, change their logo, and come back claiming they’ve learned something.
Same kids, same bullshit, different semester.
The popular kids protect each other, the outcasts get mocked, and the talented ones keep getting told to network harder.
The loudest idiots collect the money while the smartest kids do the homework.
And every semester we’re promised things will change. Accountability, maturity, real innovation, an end to the scams.
But why would anything change when the people benefiting from this mess are the ones running it?
That’s what bothers me most. There are genuinely brilliant people in crypto building things that could actually matter, but they’re stuck in a school that rewards popularity over intelligence and extraction over creation.
We’ve been here for years, watching the same kids fight over the cool table, bully the weird kid, and cheat on the same fucking test.
And the funniest part is, some of them actually think they’re the teachers.
At some point you have to wonder whether anybody wants an education or whether they just like recess.
Because the bell isn’t broken.
The people running the school took it off the wall a long time ago.
And until somebody puts it back, the smartest kids in the building are going to keep doing everybody else’s homework while the dumbest ones collect the tuition.
