🎯 METHOD 1: BROWSER MINER Zero setup. Your computer. Your contribution. You don't need to install mining software or configure a complicated environment. You can join the Bitcoin Puzzle #71 collective scanning experiment directly from your browser. 1. Open the BitmapWin Terminal Visit bitmapwin.app/puzzle 2. Set Your Worker Identity Enter your Bitcoin payout address in the Worker Address field. This identifies your worker and associates your scanning credits with your contribution on the live leaderboard. 3. Choose Your Computing Power ⚡ WebGPU (Recommended) Uses your computer's graphics processor to perform parallel calculations through GPU shaders. The app reports its scanning speed in keys per second. ⚙️ CPU Worker Uses multiple browser threads (Web Workers) to perform elliptic-curve calculations using your processor. 4. Join the Pool & Start Scanning Click JOIN POOL & START SCANNING. Your browser will: Request a scanning lease covering 2²⁴ (16,777,216) candidate keys. Check three trap canaries to demonstrate that the assigned work is being processed correctly. Search its assigned range for a potential match. Submit valid work shares to the pool. Record your contribution on the live leaderboard. Every worker contributes another piece of the search. You don't need to solve the puzzle alone. Join the experiment, contribute your computing power, and help explore one of Bitcoin's oldest cryptographic challenges. 🟧 bitmapwin.app/puzzle Important: A leaderboard share or completed scanning lease demonstrates contributed work, not discovery of the private key. Never enter your wallet seed phrase or private keys into the website. Only use a payout address.

Ever wondered if you were born under a lucky star? 💫🌟 I have. And I like to think I was. But this isn't another vibe-coded game chasing the flavour of the week. It's something much simpler. And potentially historic. Dev9 once told me: "Urban, when you do something, think in terms of the result of 10 other people doing the same." I've never forgotten that. So here's my invitation. Let's take on Bitcoin Puzzle #71 together. Created in 2015, this public cryptographic challenge has an actual Bitcoin prize attached to it. 🟧 The target: 1PWo3JeB9jrGwfHDNpdGK54CRas7fsVzXU ₿ The prize: 7.1 BTC 🔐 The private key range: 2⁷⁰ to 2⁷¹ − 1 That's 1,180,591,620,717,411,303,424 possible private keys. The challenge is to find the one key that unlocks the Bitcoin address. No company-issued prize. No imaginary points. No leaderboard pretending to be a reward. Just a real Bitcoin cryptographic puzzle, open to the world. I encourage you to explore the challenge, contribute computing power where possible, and see what collective effort can achieve. And for those who feel particularly lucky, your own bitmap block awaits exploration too. A little curiosity. A little luck. A piece of Bitcoin history. Happy archaeology! U 🟧 bitmapwin.app

When Does #71 Become Massive +EV? Lottery Utility (Asymmetric Downside/Upside): Like buying a lottery ticket, risking $0.05 of electricity on your browser or home GPU while you sleep has negative expected value, but the payout ($500,000) changes life circumstances.

This looks like a compromise of Binance's internal wallet control systems, rather than direct access to signing keys. The 11 theft txs match the wallet fingerprint of legitimate Binance activity. Let's compare a routine sweep from earlier this year to one of the theft txs 🧵
here's how Binance's funds were distributed across their main addresses shortly before the hack. as you can see, only ~3.76% was vulnerable, and not all of that was stolen. an excellent demonstration of the importance of cold wallets!

The Binance hacker might have just pulled off one of the smartest moves I’ve seen in crypto. First, Tether froze $1.5 billion in USDT. Then Circle froze another $800 million in USDC. At that point, it looked like the hacker’s money was trapped. But apparently, he had already planned for that. Instead of holding the stolen USDT in a wallet, he allegedly deposited it into Aave and used it as collateral to borrow ETH. Then he walked away. That’s where the story gets crazy. Tether can freeze the USDT sitting in the wallet. But it can’t freeze the ETH he already borrowed. So now Aave is left holding frozen collateral, while the hacker is sitting on liquid ETH. And unless the protocol can recover it somehow, he may not even need to pay the loan back. Two companies froze billions of dollars in seconds. But someone who understood how to use DeFi may have found a way around both of them. Pretty insane when you think about it.
Community note
The described Aave deposit used only ~60M USDT as collateral to borrow 19,762 WETH before freezes hit the main wallet, not the bulk of funds; Aave states the overcollateralized position is subject to normal liquidation with no material protocol risk. governance.aave.com/t/binance-hot-… x.com/binance/status… drk.vc/news/binance-1…
