Hopefully the first of many! Keep in mind, the "people" crying about this were celebrating and making memes about Charlie Kirk being assassinated They appeal to your better nature to subvert you hoping you will spare them justice Don't be better than them, be worse

This is how you deal with terrorists. You execute them. Not elect them.

We can all agree this PoS should be executed… But live-streaming an execution seems like a terrible idea

It’s sad to see a bunch of people who lol’d the death of Charlie Kirk for sitting down and talking to people suddenly clutching their pearls over a murderer being executed.

I’ll be thinking of the pregnant woman who cried out “My baby! My Baby!” right before she died when this POS is executed. For all those who find this public execution disgusting, just don’t watch it.

You know who else carries out public executions? IRAN. The same Iranian regime our government routinely condemns for its human rights abuses. Now, before somebody deliberately misses the fucking point, Nidal Hasan murdered 13 people, was convicted, and sentenced to death. Nobody is defending him. But Iran has used public executions to make an example out of condemned prisoners, and now our own Pentagon wants to LIVESTREAM a firing squad. The legal systems and circumstances are different. The decision to turn an execution into a public spectacle is what deserves scrutiny. Since when did Americans need to watch someone die for justice to be served? We condemn the spectacle abroad while proposing our own version at home. Make that make sense.

How the US military conducts a firing squad execution is going to be a bit of a shock to people who grew up in a society where this kind of thing hasn't happened since the end of WW2. The last 2 U.S. military executions by firing squad occurred in 1945, Private Eddie Slovik and Private Dan Lee. People used to the really dumbed down, bleeding heart liberal version of the death penalty, the kind where the Fake News media wonders why there wasn't any live-saving medical equipment in the death house in TN, are going to be kind of amazed by this. One of the biggest reasons almost all the states were moved to lethal injection was to complicate the process and provide new avenues for thwarting carrying out of the sentence. With 10-12 rifles firing 9-12 bullets, all the arguments about this or that drug in which doses are 'humane' or 'effective' are rendered irrelevant. grok.com/share/c2hhcmQtMw_91… This is how the US military was conducting firing squad executions at the end of WW2. piped.video/watch?v=xSSg2t9D… Hasan will likely be affixed to the pole, blindfolded already when the squad is marched in, forms its line, the sentence is read, the load, ready, aim, fire, then turn and march out. From beginning to end, this would happen in less than 2 or 3 minutes. It is not a pleasant task, but a necessary one. It is not combat. The guy isn't trying to kill you. You are the arm of justice, carrying out a sentence, against a man standing there with his hands tied behind him. Even if you think he deserves it, and for sure, Hasan does, say a prayer the soldiers that get picked for this job. Taking a man's life is not a small or light thing.

Oh good, let's just become a shithole state with a shithole ideology glorifying the spectacle of state violence so we can make all these shithole mass shooters martyrs by proving them correct about America, thus inspiring more shithole mass shooters. What could go wrong?

Crassus crucified 6,000 men during the Roman Republic along one road in 71 BC. Titus crucified up to 500 a day outside Jerusalem in AD 70. On game days, the Republic and Empire killed prisoners at noon, between beast hunts and gladiatorial contests. This mosaic from Zliten, Libya, shows one person tied to a stake on wheels, being pushed toward a leopard. Public death was on the Roman schedule for 800 years. America is executing one man. He was convicted of 13 murders in 2013 and has had 12 years of appeals. The US military last executed anyone in 1961.
