You don’t have to be an engineer to be an Akash ambassador. @Dimefps is proof. He’s a finance major at Fordham who learned Akash by deploying his own projects. At his latest Akash workshop, seven students stayed afterward for one on one help. He even met with one of them every night for a week and a half until they got the sports prediction bot deployed. He also helped a classmate get a stuck trading bot running on Akash at a lower cost than AWS. Now he’s the person students on campus go to with questions about Akash.

Akash Prop 346 is live. If you stake $AKT, you get a say. In plain words: it asks stakers to approve moving @akashnet from its own Cosmos chain to Solana. If it passes, AKT launches 1:1 as an SPL token after two independent audits, via a one-way portal open for 2 years. Live deployments don't change yet; moving the marketplace needs a separate vote later. My take as a student builder: I care that deploying stays simple. SDL files don't change, and lower fees plus a bigger dev ecosystem could help bring more students in. The tradeoffs are real: staking rewards end at cutover, validators lose their role, and migration is one-way. Voting closes Nov 2, 15:02 UTC. Vote with staked AKT on Mintscan (Keplr or Leap).
