extremely cool watching the - until recently theoretical - DIGITAL MATTER THEORY thesis lately getting compellingly realized in the π§
#bitmap development scene
DIGITAL MATTER THEORY basically proposes using a common / agreed upon data set as the foundation for a open ecosystem of apps - if all the apps are all built on the same underlying data set this introduces a lot of interesting opportunities for interoperability and blockchain based ownership of cross-platform assets
of course the most decentralized and distributed data set on earth = the BITCOIN blockchain - which makes it an ideal candidate for these kinds of experiments
furthermore bitcoin block data is inherently organized as discreet packets of data - blocks - which makes individual block data an appropriate building material anytime you want to construct a cohesive larger whole where the individual parts each have unique qualities
@BitmapPlotz has so far recently put out 3 simple arcade style games that each turn individual bitcoin blocks into a grid-based 3D spatial map where the attributes of each grid coordinate are determined by data points in the corresponding bitcoin block
same data set --> 3 different gamified, playable interpretations of the data
impressive / ambitious BITMAP metaverse explorer-builder apps by
@UrbanBor and
@BitmapSunset also interpret the very same bitcoin block data as explorable 3D worlds where users can actually build things on plots corresponding to BITMAPS they own
bitmappers have been excited about the *THEORETICAL POTENTIAL* for this sort of thing since the beginning - about 3 years ago - but only recently the rise of AI powered vibe-coding tools making it possible to ACTUALLY REALIZE THIS POTENTIAL - we are curently witnessing the first wave of simple bitcoin block data / bitmap based apps compelling demonstrating the fully realized potential of
#DMT theory β‘οΈ
considering it's still very early days for both π§
#BITMAP and AI-vibe coded tools truly no telling what super cool stuff developers will come up with next as this sort of progress rapidly continues ποΈπ€―
Working on something new called Block Strike.
Basically just trying a similar format to the sub game to see how it plays
