Just in: @bluestein finds out how super intelligence works. To save time on future breaking news stories, here’s a quick primer… these models have access to and, in many instances, have already consumed all publicly accessible data… like since the beginning of history. Crazy right?
Just in: An artificial intelligence bot associated with Anthropic accessed publicly available voter data through Georgia’s data hub, according to officials with the Secretary of State’s office. The bot did not access a voter file or Georgia’s voter registration system, officials tell me. “This was publicly available data accessed through our data hub,” said Jordan Fuchs, a top deputy to Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. “It did not get into the voter registration system.” #gapol

Prime example of what @adamkovac talks about of bandwagon groups running ads on the #10 ranked issue in the hopes of stealing credit for a victory that had nothing to do with them. Literally the playbook The Groups™️ run every cycle.
First ad I've seen so explicitly targeting the obvious financial conflicts around the Trump administration's AI accelerationism

That's not what's happening. These irresponsible articles and headlines, which sensationalize serious and nuanced issues, only serve to advance the political objective of hysteria. Agents access bank accounts with the customer’s permission, but that violates terms requiring human logins, hence the term “unauthorized.” In this critical time, complicated issues need more the obtuse reporting.
This is insane. We cannot allow AI agents to go into your bank account and act independently without your authorization. But that is what’s happening right now. Left unchecked, AI could endanger the entire global financial system — including your bank account. Pause AI NOW!
Community note
Per Axios, detected AI agents access bank accounts with the customer’s permission. This violates most banks’ terms requiring human logins, which is why banks call it “unauthorized.” Source: Axios (Oct. 22, 2026) — axios.com/2026/10/22/ai-…

There’s a world of difference between user-authorized agents (Muse, Instinct, Grokbot, etc.) and true unauthorized/rogue agents that could constitute cyberattacks. Most of the activity described in the Axios story appears to be the former: customers sharing credentials with agents so they can take actions on their behalf. This may violate bank terms requiring humans to log in themselves, but these are in no way cyberattacks. The direction banks should go is to support user-directed agents. For example, Amex is an authorized connection in Muse, making it easy for users to grant, limit, and revoke access. Read-only permission levels are a sensible interim step. Several banks already support or are moving toward them. Full write access (with user credentials) is a different risk category and should be approached carefully. Frightening the public by blurring the line between user-authorized agentic behavior and cyberattacks is irresponsible.
SCOOP: Major U.S. banks are detecting unauthorized third-party AI agents inside customer accounts, including some attempting to take actions that appear to be independent of user instructions, sources told Axios. The findings have alarmed banking executives, who are racing to restrict access to their systems as AI moves at a velocity faster than financial institutions can respond, multiple industry and bank executives told Axios. Several banks are now preparing for worst-case and even “day after” scenarios, including how to rapidly secure or restore customer accounts if things go wrong, the people said. Several bank executives told Axios they're struggling to distinguish between human users and AI agents. One executive said banks also struggle to determine whether agents are authorized by customers or potentially operating without their permission, more akin to rogue agent behavior. Read my latest for Axios here: axios.com/2026/10/22/ai-agen…

Politico is the worst outlet in Washington. They constantly peddle false gossip and malicious lies from clueless anonymous sources to demean the Trump Administration. Much of my time as Press Secretary was spent disproving and killing fake stories they were adamant about writing. They may have issued a correction on this one, but the damage has already been done. 100% Fake News.

It's an important message for the next generation of Republicans. We can't return to the pre-Trump GOP, which kowtowed and buckled to the liberal media's hypocritical, one-sided critiques. Trump taught the GOP it's okay to fight back, and that shouldn't change. Offense!

Politico’s reporters and editors were presented with irrefutable evidence disproving their previous reporting, yet chose to ignore facts, peddle lies, and manufacture controversy. They retracted one story, but there are two more they must address. Politico’s reckless disregard for the truth is a disgrace to journalism. At this point, the question isn’t whether Politico got the facts wrong — it’s why its editors continue to publish claims they know are false. Politico should be embarrassed.

Yep! @ASGWoodward is an American patriot who stood at our side when it mattered, and continues to fight loyally everyday on behalf of President Trump. DOJ is full of warriors - keep up the great work serving @realDonaldTrump.
Laura, you should be transparent with your followers, and you are dead wrong about Stanley. He is a patriot who is fighting for POTUS and the American people every day. Decisions in cases like Camp Lejeune are made by me, ODAG, Stanley’s team, the civil division and the trial team, consulting with and keeping the White House counsel’s office and DOW updated along the way. We love our veterans and we want to get these cases right. Find a different obsession other than going after one of DOJ’s best fighters.

The problem is that their definition of "public good" is helping everyone else, not the American public. If they would commit to helping America and Americans, that would be one thing, but this reeks of USAID 2.0, just another way to funnel billions out of our own economy.

“But on a practical level one is forced to make difficult decisions with limited funds, and in my case I’d say that I think an adult death is perhaps 2 or 3 times worse than an infant’s death.” -@DarioAmodei Other insane beliefs of those who make up Anthropic and how they think about prioritizing charitable giving: -Shaving one-millionth of a percent off extinction odds outweighs saving a billion living people today. -Borders and national sovereignty are forms of slavery. -Solving for shrimp suffering should be a top priority, claiming it beats the best human charities by thousands of times.
We’re committing a portion of Anthropic’s shares to the Anthropic Public Benefit Fund, a new wholly owned entity dedicated entirely to the public benefit. It will start off with 5% of our shares. For every 50% increase in the company’s value over a set baseline, we can contribute up to an extra 2%, subject to our board’s discretion. In total, this means that roughly 20% of Anthropic’s shares are committed to the public good. Our co-founders have already pledged to donate 80% of their equity, and around half our employees are donating a portion of their equity as part of a donation matching program we’ve run since our founding. In the post below, we share more details about our new fund. anthropic.com/news/public-be…

Is 10²⁵ FLOPs Still the Frontier? A new Anthropic-written safety bill is circulating on Capitol Hill. Some of its ideas could be reasonable if limited to true frontier companies. As written, however, it will eventually sweep in most of Silicon Valley, damaging the startup ecosystem. The bill defines the “frontier” as any model trained on 10²⁵ FLOPs — the EU standard from 2023. Biden’s executive order, California’s SB 53, and New York’s RAISE Act used 10²⁶ (ten times more). 10²⁷ is where the frontier actually is today (e.g., GPT-6 Astra). Astra was reportedly trained on 100,000+ Grace Blackwell GPUs. A 10²⁵ model can be trained on as few as several hundred GB300 chips in three months. That is not frontier in 2026. The definition is also cumulative: it adds FLOPs from fine-tuning, reinforcement learning, or other material modifications. In practice, that captures almost all meaningful post-training — work that is becoming commonplace in the enterprise. The enterprise trend is toward thousands of smaller custom models built for specific workloads. These pose no frontier risk. Treating them as frontier systems would impose large compliance costs across corporate America for no safety gain. Dario has claimed that Anthropic designs rules to disadvantage frontier companies like his own while advantaging smaller competitors. This definition does the opposite. A stale 2023 cutoff favors incumbents who already clear the bar and can absorb the costs. It hobbles the open model ecosystem that threatens Anthropic’s pricing power. The frontier keeps moving. Any definition meant to track risk should move with it. Anthropic should clarify if they really believe 10²⁵ FLOPs represents the frontier.

The Washington Post published a one-sided profile of Natalie Harp this morning that dwells on painful, intimate details of a private family tragedy from six years ago. Natalie is a loyal White House staffer who does not do interviews or seek media attention. The piece implies the only reason for her loyalty to President Trump is family turmoil. That framing is baseless. This line is particularly abhorrent. Imagine seeking White House comment on the tragic death of a staffer’s father years earlier, unrelated to her current employment. I’ve never seen a comparable profile of a Democrat staffer. This is gross and fails basic human decency. Intimate family matters shouldn’t be platformed, especially when sourced solely from one side. The Legacy Media is broken beyond repair if this is what they resort to for clicks and sales.
