3rd | DWDWLW - Last Saturday saw a James Fairley goal secured a place in the next round of the Vase but local bragging rights as they claimed a 1-0 home victory over neighbours Jarrow.
Fairley’s first Villa goal set up a trip to NWCFL Premier Division side in the Second Round - the Lancashire outfit beat Darlington Town 6-0 in the First Round.
They return to league action looking to bounce back after a first defeat of the season in their last league outing; a 2-0 defeat at home to Chester le Street Town.
That defeat ended their unbeaten start to the season at 16 games in all competitions. It was also the first league game in which they have failed to score.
At home in league action they have won 6/8 games, with a draw and a single defeat completing their current NL2 record at the Villa.
They have conceded only three second half goals all season - the last eight goals against them have all come in the first half.
They are one of only two Division Two sides to have conceded more first half goals than in the second half. AFC Newbiggin are the other.

7th | WWLWWL - Followed last weekend’s 2-0 derby win away at FC Hartlepool with a 2-1 home defeat to Darlington Town in midweek.
Robbie Lithgo and Drew Lake goals gave them the league double over their neighbours, with Craig Linsel on target in midweek.
They have won 4/7 league games on the road, with a draw and two losses rounding out their current NL2 away record.
⏪THIS SEASON//
No previous league meeting this season.
🔙LAST SEASON//
No corresponding league fixture between the sides last season.
🔮OUR PREDICTION//
Boldon are a side full of experience and character, and their home record remains one of the strongest in Division Two despite that recent setback against Chester le Street.
Seaton Carew have been excellent on their travels and possess enough attacking quality to make this a genuine test.
Expect a competitive game, but Boldon’s defensive record and strength at the Villa will prove decisive. But we have a feeling for goals…
Boldon 4-2 Seatonians
