I was so honored to spend time with key mentors during my 18 years at @MassGenBrigham, @broadinstitute, and @harvardmed, as I embark on a new chapter at @Amgen. From them, in addition to learning how to be a physician and a scientist, I learned, and continue to strive, to motivate and collaborate with humility and curiosity. This has been the most wonderful adventure of continual growth and exploration, surrounded by the most wonderful people.

We are deeply saddened to have lost our founding chairman and the father of modern academic cardiology, Dr. Eugene Braunwald, who founded the TIMI Study Group in 1984, and with that vision profoundly shaped the practice of cardiovascular medicine across the world.

The American Heart Association mourns the passing of the legendary cardiologist Eugene Braunwald, M.D., widely recognized as one of the most influential figures in the history of cardiovascular medicine. Over seven decades, his work reshaped the understanding and treatment of heart disease, leading many to call him the father of modern cardiology. Braunwald was a lifelong contributor to the American Heart Association, helping advance its research and scientific mission, and was honored with some of the Association’s highest honors for his lasting influence on cardiovascular care and research. I watched many elected and appointed officials discuss the update for the Palisades clean up but after hours of talking, no schedule for when the clean up begins. Is anyone else frustrated? It has been 3 weeks since the fire started.

This year, our lab was very fortunate to receive two @nih_nhlbi R01 awards to support our work in AI in #echofirst. We believe AI is a generational transformative technology and we are excited to be at the forefront of its application in cardiovascular medicine.
