We have traced this back to one or more compromised API keys on Cloudflare, and have already revoked all API keys. The malicious domain in the spam email has been taken down. Funds stored on Passport are safe and Passport hardware is not compromised. We are working nonstop to discover exactly what happened and will put out a report ASAP.

Bitcoin’s code is open to everyone, but access to the code is not the same as an opportunity to contribute. Technical education, mentorship, supportive communities, and the time and funding to keep building all shape who can participate, and sustain their work. In our latest article, we explore why decentralizing Bitcoin development takes more than geographic diversity, and how Btrust supports pathways for more people, experiences, and perspectives to help shape the technology. Takeaway is that agentic engineering flips the bottleneck - now creativity is the limit, not coding skill. Next call is a Bitcoin Reading Club: discord.gg/6XPJ96sCY4?event=…

Today at @CodeOrangeDevs Privacy Track we looked at Payjoin v2. - How is negotiation done between the sender and receiver? - What does the payjoin P2EP address encode? - Can I lose my btc if the Directory and OHTTP relay are controlled by an attacker?

the sentence: "atleast 5% of private payments in bitcoin keeps the entire chain alive" by @keypleb is the highlight! great event by @Razor_gh who cleared all major doubts about @payjoindevkit
18 bitcoiners learning about @payjoindevkit at our Privacy Track today. Some attempts hit errors. That gave us plenty to chat about - how Payjoin works, what privacy it offers, and what proof of work we still need to do. Full recording below. Here are a few takeaways:

@Razor_gh walked us through Payjoin v1 and v2, including how payments are coordinated using encrypted messages, a mailbox directory, and Oblivious HTTP relays. We also asked what those services can see—and where trust assumptions remain.

Then came the hands-on testing with @cakewallet and @BULLBITCOIN_ We encountered failed attempts, unclear errors, and compatibility questions. Lots of work to do for devs here at Code Orange! Useful feedback for any payment app - tell people what’s happening and why it failed, so it can work later. See you at the next workshop! We will cover Silent Payments next.
