The arguments against a 3rd Runway at Heathrow are growing significantly on so many fronts that it’s time renew Labour administration quietly closed down the plan once and for all at the end of the consultation period in September.
Probably the biggest threat to any river system in the UK is #Heathrow’s disastrous proposals to build on top of, divert and merge 5 rivers for nearly 2km which will ruin ecological connectivity over a 1000km2 catchment...

In addition to the immense cost & disruption of diverting the M25 & obliterating villages this ill-thought-through scheme to build an airport on top of 5 rivers could cut connectivity for Fish, & Otters between the internationally-rare #chalkstreams of the Chilterns & the Thames.
Heathrow expansion would permanently damage a nationally important wildlife landscape. The Colne Valley, its rivers, wetlands & green spaces are a vital corridor for biodiversity. Once that habitat is lost, it cannot simply be replaced. #ColneValley #Biodiversity #No3rdRunway
