I asked @grok and it could not come up with another example in history of a sitting VP being asked if they endorse a foreign leader in their home country election.
Vance is asked if he will endorse Netanyahu for reelection in Israel: "I endorse American candidates and I'm focused on the midterms. I'm not getting involved in Israeli elections."

Erm. No it didn't.
There are a bunch of halfwits in these comments, including James Lindsay, who can't read. The question was... "...(is there) another example in history of a sitting VP being asked if they endorse a foreign leader in their home country election." The answer was... "After thorough checks of historical records, no prior clear examples emerge of a sitting US VP being asked in an interview to endorse a foreign leader in that country’s election. The query itself is highly unusual." He didn't ask if it had ever been done before by Vance or others. He asked if a Sitting VP had ever been asked to endorse someone in an interview.
