Building cool stuff on the internet

How can I help? 🫡

To bring you up to speed, I am on my 4th current business venture. In the first two, I saw little traction and the third was where it all broke free and showed me what's is possible.

Just had a chat with @nkecom and man is a G. Very smart operator. Been following him for a bit and can attest he knows what he is talking about. Very humble. Give him a follow. You won’t regret it. Straight value for an hour.

Well, that was a crazy turn of events. Three weeks ago, I thought Parker was going to be acquired in a deal worth nearly $90M. Yesterday, we filed for Chapter 7. I spent most of my twenties building Parker. We went from an idea in YC to processing over $1B in annualized volume, pioneered products that became standard across fintech, and built something I believed could last for decades. And now it’s over. I know there’s going to be speculation about why Parker failed, but a lot of what’s being said online is simply not accurate. Over the last few years, we faced leadership turnover, a much tougher market, slowing growth, and the realities of trying to scale a venture-backed business after momentum fades. Earlier this year, we decided the best path forward was to pursue a sale of the business. We ran a process and spent months working toward a potential acquisition that ultimately did not close. After that, things moved quickly. The hardest part is the impact on the people involved: •Customers dealing with disruption •Employees losing jobs they worked hard for •Investors who believed in us losing money What I am proud of is the team. Parker was built by incredibly talented people who deserved a better outcome than this. Helping them land somewhere great is my top priority right now. If you’re hiring operators, engineers, designers, finance, credit, or growth talent, please reach out. To everyone who believed in Parker over the years: thank you.

Manus is about to get absolutely leveled. China blocked Meta’s acquisition of manus.

Another perfect example of the house will always win. @Meta ad business up 33% in quarterly revenue. Hence why CVR is down… they gotta collect their moneys. They know we are the fools that will keep paying.

This year has forced me to realize that LTV is everything. Without that you are borrowing attention and at the mercy of the ad platforms.

Seeing the same thing. It's off by 30+ purchases right now. My guess is they are adjusting and overshot.
Meta's in platform numbers are super off. If you're relying on in platform buckle up. View is over-reporting a lot. Fun times.

If you are seeing a massive drop in CVR since yesterday April 4th.. Check placement spend. If you are normally FB feed and FB reel heavy, meta did a complete flip to Instagram reels and feed. Did the exact opposite if you are IG heavy. I have no idea what the hell @Meta is doing. It seems like all bot traffic.

I am usually not one to complain about meta performance but what the f*ck this month.

The bid and cot cappers got absolutely rinsed in the last update. My conspiracy theory with @Meta is the house will always win. Zuck needed rent for his Kauai property.

In light of my previous post… What is the worst advice your meta rep ever gave you?

If @Meta is going to save 6 billion on forcing everyone to monthly invoicing, they should spend 1 billion on reps that are actively using their platform to give advice to other owners. Just spent 45 minutes teaching my rep why there is an auction overlap in our account.

What a time to be alive. E-commerce is going to take a massive exponential curve with the AI technology entering the ether. More profit and bigger multiples in the near future.

I saw this happen to us using Shopify assistant to manually calculate KPIs. It gave me different numbers 3 different time both myself and my partners asked. Already skeptical… This is scary bc this has direct access to store data and is still wildly inaccurate. It wasn’t until we manually exported all orders and then cross referenced with other tools that we got it correct. If we blindly trusted the assistant, it would have essentially changed the entire businesses bc it was saying it was unprofitable. AI is great but use your brain. God gave it to you for a reason.
99.9% of you using AI in your daily number crunching are probably so fucked with fake data.

Pretty wild you can accomplish in one year. 100K/day loading this year.
100k year ✅ 100k month ✅ 100k week ✅ 100k day loading… So much more to learn and implement. Literally just scratching the surface. Onwards and upwards gents.
