Siri has a lot of potential that Apple just isn’t using.
Replying to @johnternus
If Siri was worth anything, this would be a great product. Unfortunately, I think Siri is the choke point for Apple moving forward, it's just simply unusable.

You wanna know how I got these returns?
😭😭😭😭😭 Mid way, I started nodding in affirmation.

I don’t want to see what you built with a single prompt, I want to see what you were able to do with ten. The first 90% of an app is easy, it’s those fiddling but vital details that take forever now.

Friend of mine used neuro linguistic programming to “get addicted to doing hard things.” He now spends 100% of his free time playing Dark Souls games. Maybe he should have gotten addicted to doing useful things.

I want more tiny-tool builders in my feed. Not necessarily startups. Not necessarily SaaS. The people making a script, PHP thing, browser tool, automation, weird hardware project or little app because something annoyed them enough that they decided to fix it.

Good principles for agentic coding
Been a bit quiet lately because I’ve been focused on job applications and interview prep, plus trying to clear out a load of stuff before my car lease ends. On the side though, I’ve been doing some agentic coding on other projects. One thing that’s become really clear: once you have a decent codebase, AI agents can easily introduce regressions when you ask them to make changes. To help prevent that, I’ve started putting specific instructions in my AGENTS.md file. The two main ones are: 1. Use TDD: Write failing unit tests first (red), then write the code to make them pass (green). Forces the AI to think through the details properly before touching the code. 2. Follow SOLID principles (especially Open-Closed), so the AI designs for extensibility from the start and uses proper patterns instead of just patching things. It’s made the output noticeably more reliable. Thought it might be useful for anyone else using AI agents to build stuff. #buildinpublic #indiehacker #AIcoding #Claude

Most sites I don’t bookmark, I just let Firefox suggest it from history
What’s one website you still visit by typing the URL directly? No Google. No bookmark. No app. There can’t be many left that have survived long enough to become muscle memory. I'll go first: thep... IYKYK😆

Shopping is a deeply visual experience, most people don’t want to shop with their voice.
I think a lot of people forgot that Voice commerce and conversational commerce flopped New habits are hard

Most people don’t have a problem problem, they have a definition problem. Clarify the real constraint in one sentence and 80% of the noise disappears. What’s the last ‘impossible’ issue that became simple once you named it correctly?

Because instead of educating people to glance at the address bar before typing a password, out-of-touch policy writers assume users are idiots who can’t learn and keep trying to force “solutions” everyone hates and won’t use, like verification codes and passkeys.
Why is phishing still the most common method hackers use to carry out their attacks?

What happened to being able to tell @grok what I want to see?
they actually posted the weights of the algorithm

Some of us love coding, but it’s not surprising to me that many who claimed to actually don’t.
The fact that even the people who claimed to love coding can't stop using agents to do it reveals they didn't really love coding. Perhaps they loved the social advantages it gave them. Revealed preference: no one loves coding
