How about “for the sake of the program”, everybody @TexasTech stops talking and doing interviews on @DoubleT973? @robertgio, let’s discuss.

Colorado is paying Deion $10 million and was paying Dorrell around $3.5. Sanders earned the raise after improving the program immediately, plus the attention and the success of 2024 but CFB is always a what have you done for me lately sport
Karl Dorrell’s last 20 games as Colorado head coach: 5-15, 4 losses by 30-plus Deion Sanders’ last 20 games as Colorado head coach: 5-15, 4 losses by 30-plus #cubuffs

The case they’re making is not that schools should be required to provide athletic aid, just that schools should not be forbidden by the NCAA from providing athletic aid.
..... do they want like half the schools in d3 to go bankrupt

Because the argument they’re making relies on the Alston decision’s assessment of multi-conference collusion being subject to antitrust scrutiny. In the Ivy League is D-I not D-III.
So why aren’t the Ivy League schools include too?

The @UofMaryland Athletics Department has agreed to First Amendment training with FIRE after two student journalists were reported to campus police for “suspicious activity” while trying to interview @umterps football players. Student reporters should be able to do their jobs in public spaces without fear of unnecessary police encounters. We appreciate Maryland Athletics’ willingness to address these concerns. Public universities — including their athletic departments — have a duty to protect press freedom, not intimidate those exercising it.
For @testudotimes, @JudeWilkenfeld and I were outside Jones-Hill House trying to get players to comment. An athletics staffer took pictures of us, and a police dispatch was called for suspicious activity; a cop and 2 cop cars pulled up, and officers ID’d us and asked us to leave.

The CFP describes itself as a non-entity, a pass-through that only implements the desires of its members, college football's conferences. So why in the heck has it spent $5 million lobbying Congress? foiaball.com/p/college-footb…

Someone should write a book about this! (Cough cough SPORTS TOWN coming Sep 2027)
It's so weird that amidst the 21st century tech boom, the Bay Area has actually *lost* pro sports teams since apparently none of these tech geniuses is normal enough to want to be a local hero and own a baseball team.
